Hi Amanda!
A few FDK’s got me wondering if maybe I should flesh this story out a bit more. I toyed around with a few ideas for a couple of days but ultimately, I’ve decided to leave it as is.

For now, I hope you enjoy a little more B-plot fun.
Always!
“Perry, I can handle more than this!” Lois stood in the editor’s office, waving a sheet of paper with her latest assignment on it.
She got the assignment to cover the vacation spot in the Caribbean or tropical island?
She’d come into his office to ask for something more challenging and he’d handed her an interview with Metropolis’ resident centenarian. Needless to say, she wasn’t happy.

“Now, Lois – your doctor only wants you doing light work for a few weeks,” Perry reminded her gently.
Maybe a story where she gets thrown out a window? That’s a story where Lois will be light when Superman catches her mid-flight.
Superman: mid-fall.
“That doesn’t mean he’s allowed to run my life.” Lois stormed out of the editor’s office and cast her eyes about the newsroom for her husband, ready to give him a piece of her mind. Unfortunately (or fortunately for him), he seemed to be out at the moment.
Doesn’t sound like he’ll be eligible for spousal privileges in the supply closet any time soon.
That was the problem though. Her old life didn’t exist anymore. The new Lois was happily married and apparently okay with being bossed around by some man she barely knew.
Oops?
He’d just been… looking out for her, she supposed. He was kind and sweet… and meddling and overbearing and irritating.

She honestly couldn’t fathom why she had ever married the man.
She got used to his light-footed approach to life.
And whenever she tried to get him to explain the inconsistencies, he changed the subject or found a reason to leave.
Cheese delivery for their elderly neighbor!
Dr. Barger had then asked many questions about whether or not she felt safe in her home.
Well, there is that hidden closet space, and she had found a pair of handcuffs, but she assumed those were for practicing her delivering her stories back to the Planet when she uncovered the criminals’ lair. Why she did that in bed, she couldn’t fathom, but well…
It was hard to imagine that perhaps he had another side – a scary side that he was hiding from her right now
Well, they do have that psychiatric wing on Striker’s Island where a select few strict no-Lane criminals cower in their padded cells, mumbling that their brown pants had already been wet when they put them on that fateful day they had finally managed to capture Lois Lane. It had nothing to do with Superman discovering them trying to rid the world of the curse of reporter.
She just didn’t know if what he was hiding was actually harmful or if perhaps, he was hiding something for ‘her own good’ as he seemed want to do.
One’s annoying and the other’s offensive.
She got the distinct impression that he’d dealt with something like this before – a loved one losing their memory and reacting badly to reminders of things they’d forgotten.

It was going to be a good day, even if she had to make it so herself.
Or fall off a bridge trying.
A Superman quote was a sure way to push a story onto the front page.
Umm … it’s at least two years since a simple Superman rescue rated more than page five in the local news section.
“I was wondering if I could ask you a personal question?”
About the mole on his posterior?
That is, I’d like to be. And I hope we are and – ”
Cute babble

“I’m so glad. Because… well, you’re the kind of person I’d like to be friends with. You know?”
Yes, such a friendship would be very … beneficial.
She had butterflies in her stomach and, for the first time in weeks, she felt like her old self again.
Oh boy, just season one Lois!
