Clark is always the protector stepping in front of Lois to keep Jimmy from accidentally hurting her in his enthusiasm to welcome her back. I can just picture the shock on Perry and Jimmy’s faces when Lois said she would go to Smallville indefinitely with Clark if Luthor wasn’t caught by the time Clark had to go home. They must be wondering what Clark did to her!
Clark’s powers are a definite asset when investigating. They really make a great team! Henderson would be stunned speechless if he knew how they accomplished that research!
