Hmmm... if you have major problems with the characters, I'm not sure the last few seasons are going to get any better for you. I don't think any character changes that much except for Chloe (without going into spoilers I personally thought they pretty much ruined her character the last few seasons, so I would say it was a negative change), and that's the character you enjoyed the most.
