Ahhhh...law enforcement. That was my path once upon a time. My undergrad was in Sociology with a minor in Corrections. I even took the civil service exam for the US Marshall service shortly before I was offered my first job in mental health. Being young and dumb I felt a job in the hand...etc. etc. Now 17 years and a masters degree later I still end up spending lots of time around jails, judges, and police officers I just don't get to shoot people that irritate me. Well...not legally anyway.
Yeah I'm double majoring in Criminology and Sociology. I was minoring in Psychology (I had it in my head that I wanted to be Clarice Starling) until I realized that my sociological instincts and way of thinking were seriously conflicting with it so I dropped it. If all goes well I'll be testing for Chicago PD shortly after graduation. But, we'll see...
