More angst for our favorite couple. You know, I think lunkheadedness may be contagious.

And it looks like this: wallbash

Clark is just too good at assuming he has no chance.

I hope Lois will find a way to tell him that he is the other man.

The road is winding down...

Nice quiet part, especially after the emotional roller-coaster you have had us on for the past few parts.

Lucy at first glance is a real pill. In fact, her behavior mirrors her sister's treatment of Clark when they first met. So I agree with KenJ; bring on the 2x4!

She gets to tell him that she figured out their relationship before they did? Seriously?

Oh well, its good to know the famed Lane intution wasn't just given to Lois! thumbsup

Lucy had it right in a nutshell:
Quote
“You heard what she said. Lois lied to Lex because she loves someone else. And I’m not about to get between her and whoever he is.”

Lucy stared at him for a long moment, then said, “You know, I think it must be something in the water that makes people in Metropolis so stupid when it comes to personal relationships.”

“Huh?”

“You’re repeating yourself yet again. Isn’t that redundantly redundant?”

“No. I mean, yes, it is, but what did you mean?”

Lucy grinned impishly again. “Nothing. I’m going to brush my teeth and hit the hay, and you’d better still be here when Lois wakes up.”
Yes, there is something in the water, Clark! Think, man, think! wallbash wallbash
Then you can get to this: love

Since everyone who left feedback this time agrees that one or both of them are being idiots, I'll just say, "You're right! And we've got two more chapters of idiocy to go!"

Next part up soon! After that, one more chapter and a brief epilogue, and we will have come to the end of a very long road.

I for one want to say thank you for a very satisfying read.

It has been a long and wonderous road indeed! wave
