Instead of dragging Clark away to talk Lois flees the scene not quite ready to trust her recall and completely unwilling to admit that she can't trust her memory.
Someone, ahh, I went and looked, CC Aiken in "Clark Uncaged", has Lois making lists Superman / Not Superman as she collects evidence.
Someone else, nope can't find it drat, has her covering for him when she know but he does not yet know that she knows.
Use your story as a launch point and have Lois doing both the evidence collection and covering for clark at one and the same time.
