Ah, well, the dance is what made their relationship so enjoyable to watch! laugh

A dance is a really good description of their relationship at this point. She does like him (not that he knows that) and he does like her (even though he's denied it). Good point that the night Kyle Griffin threatens her and she comes to Clark for comfort isn't a good time to start a relationship due to her being under stress and feeling as if she has no safe place to go.

Still reading these, even if I don't always have the time or energy to comment. I admire that you're heading into S2. clap

I love the thought of 'them' at this point being a dance--steps forward, steps back. Things changing, circling. A lot of not knowing.

Those moments on Clark's couch are so wonderful...for all that both Lois and Clark are feeling for each other--while being clueless as to where the other one is on the matter. You can see their feelings pretty well plastered on their faces---but, they both have been through so much uncertainty with the other to they both are still on that instinct to play things safe. The Dance--ahhh, I just love it! smile

Sorry I'm a bit late with responding--very much enjoyed this piece!

"Where's Clark?" "Right here."

...two simple sentences--with so much meaning.
