Yay, they've talked! They've covered some of the stuff they need to talk about, anyway. My favorite line:
Quote
"Look at it this way. Now that you know, I won't have to make stupid excuses to run off and save the day anymore. You can make the stupid excuses for me."
laugh

Good stuff with Henderson, too, and gee, I can't imagine why the beat cops would be annoyed at Lois...

And I liked her perspective on Brian -- they're going to let the "clone Superman" die, so that Brian can have an entirely new life elsewhere. Like in Kansas, maybe wink

Love this story, always want more...

"You told me you weren't like other men," she said, shaking her head at him when the storm of laughter had passed.
He grinned at her - a goofy, Clark Kent kind of a grin. "I have a gift for understatement."
"You can say that again," she told him.
"I have a...."
"Oh, shut up."

Great relationship building--between Lois and Clark, and Lois, Clark and Henderson. There's humour and caring in their words.

Now it's time to get Luthor and Leek, and then we can find out what Clark has in mind for Brian. His looking like Clark and living a "normal" life brings up some interesting questions. Can't wait to see what you'll do with this.

Still reading, still good, Nan... thumbsup Love the WAFFy stuff near the end - and, as always, you write an excellent Henderson.

More soon!

Hi,

Good part. thumbsup

Quote
"He liked *you*!"

He shrugged. "Lots of people like me."

"Clark, you're evading."

"Sort of. Remember the piece you did last month about the police getting free doughnuts from the local doughnut shops? I don't think very many cops are too happy with you right now."

"Oh." She made a face. "Okay, so it was a bit petty. I was mad. I'd just got another parking ticket."

Don't like Luthor, unfinished, untitled and crossover story, and people that promises and don't deliver. I'm getting choosy with age.

Wonderful part. Ditto others.

It's good that they are OK, but now when Clark believes that Lois is past her crush I fear they stay just friends forever.

Excellent, Nan!

The scene with the desk clerk at the police station was priceless. *So* in character for all concerned!

Quote
She took the handkerchief back and blew her nose again. "Are you sure?" she asked. "I messed everything up. I was trying to show you you could trust me, and after last night, I didn't know what to do. I should have told you right away, but I thought if I did, I'd never be able to make you believe I was over my crush, and liked you for yourself. And I *do*!" she asserted with unnecessary emphasis.
Awwww! [/me melts into one big waffy puddle]

"Okay, it's a deal," he said. "Just make sure it's believable."

"Oh, I will; you can count on it!"
Right, Lois. Can you say Choco-chocolate monster chip ice cream? laugh

Can't wait to read more!
