Okay, So I have spent the last week wishing that this game would come back (It's been awhile since I been on these boards so I don't know if and why the game died). But I figured if no one is interested then it dies, can't say I didn't try.
I'm sure some of you veterans will remember this game but for those that are new here is how it goes.
You post a quote from any episode that you choose. Then everyone else has to guess who said it and what episode it is from. You can even ask that they give more information regarding the scene. There also can be fill in the blank quotes where you only give certain letters from certain words of the quote and everyone has to try and guess it and then give information on who said it.
The person who gets it right then gets to post a new quote, and it keeps going and going and going.
I'll start the first one...
"I checked her apartment, the gym and the Chocolate parlor . . . all the usual places."
Who said it and who were they talking about in what episode.
If people seem to like this i might just bring back my other favorite game which was the photo quiz!
Clark talking about Lois in the Pilot?
No I'm sorry that's not it
I have no clue, but there was a hangman that had been going for some time. The last one was numbered 93 and had 4 pages.
Uh... What season was this from?
It was Jimmy. He was talking about Lois and it was in Honeymoon in Metropolis. Wow...I think I might be too into this show...
That is correct GuineaPants!!!
Ha thats okay I know almost every line for the series so you are not alone!
You Up!
Okay...here it goes...By whom, to whom, and what episode...bonus points for the one to provide the responce!
"...It's just, all these brushes with death; who knows what's going to happen next?...You know what I'm saying?"
Have fun!
Lois to Clark as Superman in Supermann after they were almost blown up by Lisa Rockford. Clark's response was a 'Yes' and then a steamy kiss.
Thanks from Down Under!
Hmm... quote, quote, quote... at last!
'He'll get through this you both will. Now let's talk boots.'
I know! I know!
Martha to Lois in UltraWoman! While they're making her costume and talking about Clark not being 'super'.
Carol
Yep... the ball's in your court
Yeah - I was afraid of that. Almost didn't post for that reason because I have no idea what to go with.
Part of me says to go with "Help! Superman!" and see who comes up with the most interesting of the times that was shouted, but...
BBIAB...
Carol
I like the one in Tempus Anyone? where Tempus says it...making fun of Lois.
Okay...I am going to go on the assumption that I won that one. So here is the next quote! By whom. To whom. What episode. Good luck.
--You were an itch, you've been scratched.
That's Lex, to Miranda, in Pheromone my Lovely.
:p
YAY! YOU WIN! Now it is your turn. Can't wait to see which one you pick.
hehehe - OK, here's mine. And you really HAD to know that I'd pick this one...
"A little louder, I don't think they heard you in Gotham City."
Who says this to whom, in what ep? And extra points for... ya know... naming someone who lives in Gotham. LOL!
Easy! Clark, to Lois, in WHALTTA! As to who lives in Gotham, uh, Aquaman?
No...not Aquaman...Harvey Dent! I believe in that man...
*lol* Aquaman lives in Atlantis.
Harvey does live in Gotham, but I expect he's locked up in Arkham, so I doubt anybody believes anything he says anymore. hehehe!
And yup, yup, WHALTTA.
Sue, you're up!
Atlantis! Right.
Okay, here's a new quote to think about:
"Speaking of heat vision, do you smell something burning?"
heheheh! Chi of Steel -- that's Martha speaking, and Jonathan just burned a hole through Superman's cape with the iron.
Love that scene. (yes, yes, it's because Clark is shirtless in it... *shrugs* At least I know where my priorities are. LOL)
Got it in one!
Tag - you're it!
teehee!
"Or you could have a signal in the sky that they shine when you're needed."
..yes, unfortunately, there is only one thing on my mind. LOL!
That's from Witness, a boy says to Superman on how to coordinate with the emergency services or something... they're having some sort of Career Day in their classroom... (The child must have recently arrived from Gotham City)
You got it!
I love the little girl who replies that the boy's idea is just stupid. LOL! Doesn't she know that both Batman *and* Spider-Man have one of those? hehehe!
So who to whom and which episode?
"Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."
Okay, so I waited to see if someone else would guess it, but...
It's Lois, to Clark, in IGACOY (when he blows her cover and then points out that he can still go undercover at the Metro Club).
Right?
Yep!
I saw this ep a few days ago and this was a fun line.
"The very thought of having her all to myself for the night; it sent shivers down my spine and directly into my wallet."
Ooh! I know this one --
Patrick to Clark in WIAK, talking about 'buying. Lois at the auction.
(no wonder I remember: he made my "rich, single guy" antenna twitch. Obviously not as much as, say, Tony Stark, or... yes, that other guy from Gotham who makes the friggin' antenna CURL, but... ya know...)
You got it! (And I'm still giggling at how you managed to get a Batman reference in there.)
Never underestimate this BatGirl. I can throw Batman references at you all day. *giggles*
And here's a fun quote...
person 1: "This car, of course, one of a kind."
person 2: "We're just batty about it."
LOL, Lara! I can certainly attest to that.
Can I join in the fun? Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh?
Sorry, I haven't been around in forever *cough*heroesfault*cough* but I was subbing at work today and thought... hmmm... I wonder what's going on over the boards.
Hi everyone!
Okay... back to the quote. Was it from Season 3 - Don't Tug On Superman's Cape?
I just love it when they are in the cages together. <waffy sigh>
-- DJ
OMG! wait, what? is that .... no... can't be DJ... can it?
Oooh! IT IS!!!!
SQUEE!! DJ! Hey, everyone, DJ is here!
/dances
...and uh, yes, DTOSC. hee! A Batman ref AND a Star Trek one. I so rule. LOL!
Your turn, DJ my dear.
Yes, I know, unbelievable, isn't it?
No... not quite the right word... how about shameful? <ducks head shamefully>
You know what? I always love popping back in here... it feels like coming home.
Okay... new quote... new quote... Sheesh, it would help if I had watched some episodes recently...
Hah. Here's one. This line always cracks me up.
"Personally, though, I'd order from Szechuan Palace. House of Hunan's great but all this garlic gives me gas."
<waves at everyone> Until next time! Hopefully sooner than later!
-- DJ
OOH I know! Martha, at the end of "Chi of Steel."
You got it, Jax!
You're up!
-- DJ
OK, I have one: "It's not even 8 o'clock, what's next?"
How about another hint, Jax?
Hey guys! I am new to this game, but I think I got it....
That was Lois talking in the episode "I now pronounce you.." when Clark flew off to fight a typhoon in India.
Meg, you got it! Your turn!
Thanks Jax!
This one is probably easy, but I always smile when I hear this line
"Sufficed to say, they don’t call him ‘Superman’ for nothing."
I know I know!!
I love that quote too...
It's from "Chip Off The Old Clark"
Leigh-Anne Stipanovic said it to Lois!!
Nice job Jess! Your up!
okay here is the next one...
"Kryptonite will have nothing on me."
Lois, to Clark, on her plans for the evening, in "I've Got You Under My Skin."
Thats Correct!!!!!
OK, here's mine:
"Oh, come on, Clark, why do we go through this? We both know that I'm going to go."
Is that Lois talking to Clark in "Dont Tug on Supermans Cape" when Lois asked Clark if she could go with Superman to Star Labs??
Okay heres one....
"When did it go? Is it gone forever? I mean, like socks....they go into the dryer, but the never come out!"
That's Lois in Wall of Sound she's babbling about having lost her edge. Clark's look at her in that outfit was hilarious!
Lois says that in Wall of Sound.
haha good job guys! Crazy_Babe - I think your next!
Thanks Meg
Umm....
'All that crime and look what we have here, a donut commercial'
^
That was from "The Church of Metropolis."
Lois and Clark were at the police station following the fire at her uncle's restaurant. It was during that scene that they met Mayson Drake.
Ok... I'm realizing that it's crazy how well I know this show! Especially considering that I just started watching it this year! But when you own the DVDs and T.V. bores you to tears...
Here's my quote:
"Sure beats whatever shopping channel convinced you that was a good look."
oooo I know it...
It's from Madame Ex. It's when Lois and Lois double are talking to each other.
You are correct!
kk... here is the next one...
Nothing like bumpin' up and down on horseback to get your juices flowing!
Ohh I know.....
That's Lois talking in the episode "Soulmates"....
Correct!! Yay! Your Up...
Okay....this is one of my favorite quotes from Lois and Clark...
"Yeah, well, just remember there's no perfect sunsets. There's a little crack in every cloud, but that's what gives you your silver lining."
ooo good quote, I know it but I'm leaving tomorrow morn so wont be at a computer to post a quote so i'm sure someone else will be able to figure it out!!
That's Perry at the end of Don't Tug on Superman's Cape. It formed part of his toast at Lois and Clark's 'welcome back' party.
Yep!!!!
Hmm...
'Now Perry are you sure I can't persuade you to skip school and play a little golf this afternoon?'
The fact that I knew this and could even picture the scene in my head makes me think I should get another hobby....
It's from Supermann. Senator Truman Black says it to Perry.
Here it is...
"Plus, it's so much harder to reject somebody in person."
Mayson in Lucky Leon. She asks Clark out...
I think this is after Lois and Clark's date so things are still unresolved and Lois tells Clark to go..??
Yup Yup
Your Up...
ok the next one...
We could set our clocks by it.
Is it Lois to H.G. Wells is Soulmates? After he interrupts Lois and Clarks make out session, or kiss.
Yep! Your turn
Okay, I'll go with:
"What, you think it's a big secret that Clark here has been mooning over you?"
Bobby Bigmouth in The Phoenix
Yup that's it. Your turn.
Thanks!
'You got a tiger by the tail there boy'
Smiley to Clark in Just Say Noah.
Next:
"Sure, it's classic. Men are uncomfortable expressing their emotions directly. It's just like the father/daughter thing, only, when you finally do talk, you use more sports metaphors."
Lois to Clark in Lucky Leon
That's the one. You're up.
okay.... next one!
When did it go? Is it gone forever? I mean like socks! -- they go into the dryer, but they never come out!
Lois' babble about having lost her edge in Wall of Sound
Thanks!
'I don't think so, but believe me you do not want to mess with the sorceror. The guy's married to a rat.'
Clark to Lois in Soulmates.
Thanks! Next...
"Ah, come on, Jimmy couldn't save baseball cards."
That's from Fly Hard. Lois says that jimmy can save them and that is the chief's reply.
Next...
"Everything is fine . . . Except, I'm in a cage, in a bunker, underneath a mausoleum, in a cemetery, nobody knows I'm here except a bunch of very strange people."
Lois to herself in A Bolt From The Blue.
Okay, this is my favorite line:
"Oh Lois, ever the funnster. Stop my sides are splitting."
Is that Tempus in Lois and Clarks?
Okay....
"There was no earthquake, Lois. If the earth moved for you last night, it must have been something else!"
Was it Jimmy to Lois in Requiem For a Superhero?
Thanks! How about...
"Size never made no difference before."
It's From Tempus Fugitive!
Jesse James says it!
Nicely done! Yep, that's it.
Next One...
"I find most of life to be a frightening hallucination."
I think it is Baron Sunday in "Never on Sunday"
Wow! Almost a year later. But that is correct!!! Maybe we can get this game started up again.
