Was wandering around the streets of NYC and happened across a certain street while I happened to be wearing a certain shirt and I just had to take a pic.

It's a big pic, though. If I try to shrink it, you won't be able to read. So in deference to those with poor connections:

That's so awesome! I can see what you mean about the size thing wink

You know, I've seen a Clark Street, and several other good ones, but I've yet to see a Lois Lane :p

That's so neat! thumbsup I love the shirt. Did you make it yourself?
Posted By: HatMan Re: Just a pic... - 06/17/08 12:21 PM
I love that shirt, too. smile Wore it when I saw Superman Returns, and at my last two FoLC gatherings.

I got it through my comic book supplier (he's awesome). Your local comics shop might be able to help you, too. Even if they don't have it in stock, they should be able to get it. Or there are several online stores which sell them. A quick net search for "Daily Planet shirt" should turn them up easily enough. There's this one , for example. (They have a picture of the back, too.) Or you can get it directly from Graphitti Designs , the company that makes them (and many other cool comics-related shirts and things).

OOohhh...thanks for the link! Me thinks I might have to get me another shirt. I just bought my first Batman shirt in honor of "The Dark Knight," from the WB.com. I'm getting excited because I'm a huge fan of Christian Bale and this will be my first Batman movie on the big screen! cat

Paul, this is soo funny. And the Lois Lane in Metropolis... I can't help but wonder: Is it mere coicidence that right besides the Lois Lane is a Masonic Cemetery? (Should be spelled Maysonic, though.) There also is a Catherine Street in Metropolis. Wonder why it's not a Catherine Grant Street - or why they don't have a Cat's Corner. wink
Oh, and there *is* a Superman Square! Squee!

I never think to stop and take a picture since its a really busy highway, but here in PA there is a Clark Lane along Rt 22. One of these days maybe I will risk it to take a picture. It makes me chuckle every time I pass it.

I spotted a "Boy Scout Blvd" in Tampa Florida, there was a Lois Avenue (I *think*, it definitely wasn't Lane) too.

In Suisun City, California there is definitely a Lois Lane. I used to pass it every day on my way to the elementary school to pick up my kids. Of course, that was fifteen years ago, but I doubt it has gone away since then.

Searching Google Maps for "Lois Lane" brings up 10 of them, and that doesn't even include the ones we've already mentioned! Heck, just narrowing it to California brings up another 10. Seems there are plenty of them out there.

Only four Clark Lanes in the US, but it's not so common for the husband to take the wife's name. Plenty of Clark Streets , in any case.

344 Clinton Street is also not so uncommon. Why, there's even one in Cowlesville, NY!
