From Hangman 9:

Quote
IF MY HEART WAS IN MY HEAD, I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY ROOM FOR MY BRAIN.
I'm ashamed to admit that I don't recognise many of the quotes used - I really need to brush up on those episodes. This one for instance - I haven't a clue where it comes from.

Might it be an idea for those setting the quiz to post the source of the quote, once it's been correctly guessed?

Or maybe the source could be added to the quotes used list?

Oh, and while I'm here...T? <g>

T, yes!

-/----/----./-/t-----t/---'-/--/-----.../-----.

Oh, that quote is from Chi of Steel. Lois's quote. wink I don't know if it aired just that way, because I didn't watch the episodes in english. I found it in Amanda Lane's page.
Posted By: Doranwen Re: Hangman 11 - 05/11/05 09:02 AM
H?

I could add the quote source to the used quotes page. Will take me a bit to get them all in, but I do know how to search txt files, and as I'm reading all the transcripts, I'm saving them to a certain folder that I could then search to find the quotes and add that in. Not too much trouble at all, and it'll certainly help me to know the quotes better. Sound good to you?

I am terribly sorry for not getting back. Usually I pride myself on being prompt, but yeah, these are unusual circumstances. I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, so today I've been trying to do everything holding a frozen bag of peas to one cheek or another--a friend came over to help me make soup and stuff that I can blend my portion up to eat something tonight besides pudding, yogurt, and milkshakes (though I did have tomato soup for lunch). Eating every 3-4 hours is annoying, plus I have to have eaten something just before I take my anti-inflammatory and antibiotic meds . . . yuck. But hey, I think I'm doing really well for being only the 2nd day--someone told me I should have been sleeping the whole first day and be pretty out of it for the next one as well.

Let's see if I can get all of the guesses in here (I missed a T before, sorry!). No W's or F's, sorry. I think this makes it MUCH easier to guess. laugh I'd be surprised if someone doesn't get it real soon.

Ouch, Doranwen! I remember well how I felt after having all my wisdom teeth removed. I was pretty miserable for about four days. frown Hope you feel better soon!

Yeah, I think I'm doing pretty well--no pain meds at all today, and I didn't even sleep yesterday--drowsy at times, but by the end of the day was pretty alert, despite the Hydrocodone I took all day yesterday . . .

Can I get an A? wink

Hope you're feeling better Doranwen, I had my wisdom teeth taken out just last year and it was *not* fun LOL! They say the older you are when you have them done the worse it is, I think they were right! I didn't sleep through the first day, even though they said I would and I sure wish I could've! The worst part was not being able to eat much for so long! It does get better though, just take your meds and drink a lot! smile Oh and that hydrocodone *will* probably wear off, soon you'll take it and it won't do anything at all! I swear after a few days you become immune to it LOL!

So this post isn't pointless, how about an L?

In one lousy second, they took away my partner and my best friend. He died without ever knowing.

LOL, I got it thanks to your post, SuperGEM--all of a sudden I knew what ep it HAD to come from . . . laugh A bit modified, but still recognizable.
Posted By: Wendymr Re: Hangman 11 - 05/11/05 08:26 PM
Absolutely right, Doranwen! (with kudos too to SuperGem for getting it first. Yup, I had to go for that one! wink ).

This, by the way, is one of the many times where the script isn't reliable as to the words spoken, or even the complete context. The quote I used is exactly as Lois said it to Perry onscreen the morning after Clark was 'killed' at the gambling den. Dressed in a sloppy old sweater - Clark's? - and with eyes swollen with tears, she told Perry that she'd finally realised what she'd had... and lost. goofy
