Well, I don't know if I'm overstepping if I select for Paul, so if I am, just holler at me and I'll retreat. But in the intresest of moving this forward:

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me:
- Three wedding dresses
- Two Jimmy Olesons
- and a newspaper run by Perry

- Four nervous sources
- Three wedding dresses
- Two Jimmy Olsons
- and a newspaper run by Perry

Next! smile

Kathy (who knows L&C had more than four sources over the years, but I followed "calling birds" to the hopefully-not-just-logical-to-me conclusion you see above. <g>)

And how about this?

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
- Five Kerth awards!
- Four nervous sources
- Three wedding dresses
- Two Jimmy Olsons
- and a newspaper run by Perry

Okay, Lois only won three on her own, but Clark won one too, and let's assume that they won one together for the Lex Files story. sloppy

Sounds like we may need to start another song! wink

Anyone want to do the honors?
Posted By: RL Re: The Twelve Days of Metropolis - 11/20/03 10:07 PM
I'll start with a few:

Six ducks exploding
Five Red Kryptonite Rings
Four Lethal Weapons
Three French cheeses
Two aborted weddings
And a Space Rat for you and for me

P.S. I think I got the Luthor's a-Leapin' wrong. It should be ten.
Posted By: HatMan Re: The Twelve Days of Metropolis - 11/20/03 10:38 PM
exploding ducks? what am i forgetting?

anyway, to prevent confusion on number of luthors and such, here are the original lyrics:

(copied from this page )

Quote
A partridge in a pear tree
Two turtle doves
Three french hens
Four calling birds
Five gold rings
Six geese a-laying
Seven swans a-swimming
Eight maids a-milking
Nine ladies dancing
Ten lords-a-leaping
Eleven pipers piping
Twelve drummers drumming
so, hmm...

Seven Chickens Kicking
Six ducks exploding
Five Red Kryptonite Rings
Four Lethal Weapons
Three French cheeses
Two aborted weddings
And a Space Rat for you and for me

I'm pretty sure, Paul, that you and most of the world have completely blocked out Toy Story (I wish I did) where there were at least two exploding ducks and a few others that lived to explode another day. I figured ducks exploding fit in with geese a-layin'
Posted By: rivka Re: The Twelve Days of Metropolis - 11/20/03 11:25 PM
I know I'm the only one. huh But I kinda liked Toy Story.
Posted By: SuperRoo Re: The Twelve Days of Metropolis - 11/21/03 01:52 AM
I thought Toy Story wasn't horrible!
I'll watch it over Soul Mates. Uh Oh. I'm gonna get it for that I'm guessin'!!!! LOL laugh
( SM - I liked it but it was too crazy etc.....)

wildguy I'll use this little guy to guard myself.

Toy Story? That was the one with the Jeffersons in it, wasn't it? I liked that ep, but I don't remember any exploding ducks. I also saw an episode by that name on S: the Animated Series, but I *still* don't remember any exploding ducks. Nor do I recall and ducks in the Disney&Pixar movie about the cowboy and the astronaut.
Posted By: RL Re: The Twelve Days of Metropolis - 11/21/03 08:32 PM
The one you were thinking of is Season's Greedings. Toy Story (guest starring the boss guy from Murphy Brown) is the second to the last episode of the series where a disgruntled scientist kidnaps orphans and kids of his former employers, using a transporter-like device.

He kidnaps Dr. Klein with toy soldiers and a duck. He tries to kill L&C once with a duck and blows up his own toy store with Clark in it with another duck.

Lois is kidnapped instead of a child and ends up telling all the kids a story about a scared little baby who ends up being Superman. She then realizes she wants children of her own, after all.

LOL. Don't worry; I'll top you by saying I liked them both. I'll never flat-out say that I don't like a certain episode. There is always a scene or aspect of each episode that I do like. wink
