Congratulations everyone! Thank you everyone for reading and voting for Delusions. It really means a lot to have this fic recognized after all the hard work and late nights put into it.

>>> Head's up, I'm currently dealing with some back issues at the moment so it'll be a few days until I can get the transcripts completed. We're also working with the Archive team to have them uploaded there as well as here on the boards.

Thanks all!

Oh, wow! Thank you to everyone who voted for my story - this one was near and dear to me because it was a sweet throwback to all those late nights I stayed up reading and writing fic in college (yes, when I should have been studying... but fic was more fun!). I will always love this show and this community!

It has been an amazing and busy few weeks for me... in the next step in my personal love story, I got engaged on March 16! So to add some Kerth Awards on top of that - well, I'm super excited! Thank you all, and congratulations to the other winners!

Thanks to the K-Comm for all their hard work in organizing and putting on the ceremony. I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but I can't wait to read the transcript when it becomes available!

You can access the 2019 Kerth Ceremony/ Chat Transcript here.
All,

If you were nominated/won an award this year, you should have received an email from me with the download link for your awards. If not, please let me know either via PM/email.

Thank You,

Haven't read this and think i will not do because the idea isn't my type of story combined with the length, but I'm sure it's a good story, too.
Congrats also to the other winners which I don't mentioned simply because I hadn't read their stories!

A quite belated congrats to all the fabulous writers! Hurrah for the winners! It’s been an honor to figure among such talented authors!

Many thanks for the K-Comm for organizing the Kerths, and all the fun games. (I managed to read a few short fics, even if I wasn't up to FDK yet.)

Sorry I’m not oftener online, I’m having some health issues. I’ll be back asap.

I wanted to offer my thanks for those who thought highly enough of my work to support it with votes, comments, or even smiles. I also wanted to tell you where I am today and why it took this long for me to respond to this honor.

On Thursday, April 4th, I received a liver transplant. I was released to go home on Friday, April 12th. Recovery is a long and winding road for any recipient, and so far I'm doing well. We're still very early in the process, though, so I welcome any prayers, positive thoughts, and encouragements anyone cares to send along.

The crazy thing is that I still have tales to write. I have a single-post story I need to submit, and there are at least three long-form stories that are close to Beta status. I just have to regain enough strength to finish and review them.

There are lots of pluses, too. I no longer have liver cancer. I don't have to take a lot of the pre-transplant meds - now I'm taking anti-rejection drugs for the rest of my life in some combination. And my life is no longer a race to see if my old liver lasts until a new one is available.

Millefeuilles, I understand about health issues. Here's hoping yours get resolved in a positive manner soon. And thanks to everyone for providing this wonderful sandbox we can all play in. Hope to see you all on the boards soon!

Terry,

So, SO glad to hear you're well on the road to recovery! Congratulations on being cancer-free! And glad to hear that you have more stories in you. May you continue to recover swiftly and fully.
Posted By: Endelda Re: Kerth 2019 Winners! - 04/14/19 03:25 AM
Hi Terry,

I don't believe we've spoken before (although I could be wrong - my memory is terrible), but I've read and enjoyed a lot of your work. I'm glad to hear that you're cancer-free, and wish you well in your post-transplant recovery. My dad received a liver transplant back in '95, and I well remember how grueling but rewarding the process was.

Here's to a speedy recovery and more Terry stories in the future! smile

Here's wishing you a speedy and smooth recovery.

Millefeuilles and Terry,

Hope you both have speedy and uncomplicated complete recoveries to full health and wellness.

Best wishes,

DC, Endelda, Lynn, cuidadora, thank you so much for your encouraging words. I'm doing better every day - they still won't let me drive, though. At the clinic meeting with the surgeon today, he asked me to stand up and walk around the small exam room, and then he told me to sit down again and stop showing off. I'm big enough (and now scarred enough) to do Fredrick von Frankenstein's monster dancing and singing "Puttin' on da Ritzzzz!" (see it here). I just need to regain some more balance and dexterity.

I didn't realize how sick I'd become until about ten days after the transplant. I'm more alert, my aphasia is gone, I don't lose focus and concentration like I did a month ago, and I've dropped a good deal of weight (mostly fluid) and my shoes fit me again. All in all, I'm glad it worked out the way it did.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for sharing this wonderful news with us. May you continue to see improvement.
