I recently wodered about Lois Lanes full name. I've read several fics that give it as Joanne, but I remember at least two different authors giving it as Olive. Is anyone of this names canon or are they both an invention of one author copied by others?

I'm not sure about the show, but the comics have used Joanne as a nod to the creators (Joanne Carter, later Joanne Siegel, was the model who Joe Shuster hired to pose for Lois Lane). I think it is canon in the show, too.

A quick search of the show's transcripts did not reveal "Joanne" in any of them. So you're free either to stick with the comics-canon or to choose a different name.
