Should I start another story that I have been working on? Or finish this stories that have been posted already.

Sad thing is I have tons of ideas for stories and there is already another two that I am thinking of doing once I am almost done with one of the other ones.

I know many of you read the stories when they are finished so that is one reason I am holding off starting too many at one time.

And another quick question... how many of you watch The Flash and Arrow?

Hi CarrieRene,

I don't have time to read multipart stories these days (and often I skip even the one-shots), but I would say that for the sake of your current readers, it would be better to finish what you are already writing than to start new stories. (The exception being if the new stories were quick one-shots.) If you are nervous about forgetting your new ideas, you could always write up a quick outline for yourself.

I do watch Flash, but not Arrow.

Lynn

Hi CarrieRene,

I also agree with Lynn. Unless you have a regular posting schedule for all the stories and can juggle them successfully, I suggest finishing any WIP before starting new ones. Unless as Lynn suggested, some are very short. If one is epic length, then one additional story that's shorter is also possible. It gets confusing with multiple stories by the same author. What happened in the last chapter? No, that was another story... especially if the posting schedule is irregular.

I don't watch either show.

I juggled three different fics at one point and it was very hard to do. The only reason I was able to keep it with a regular posting schedule was to have written one of the fics completely before posting, write at least half the story before posting to allow time between chapters for yourself. It is NOT easy to juggle more than one fic.

Not sure if I should or shouldn't weigh in, here, since I have at least two WiPs on the board right now and a very chatty Muse. My advice is to go ahead and start writing, but don't start posting. If story B gets finished before you're done posting story A, you can always take the opportunity to give it an extra polish; throw in some foreshadowing for that scene that suddenly added itself at the last minute, put in more references to that theme that cropped up, etc. Stories, like stews, always benefit from simmering a little. The worst thing to do with it is nothing. At least jot down the idea, somewhere.

Edit: I watched the first few seasons of Flash, then kind of wandered off and never really found my way back. Are you planning a crossover?

Yes, I am planning a crossover. I already have the Prologue almost finished. The characters have been written out but I wasn't going to start posting until one of my other fics were finished and I had more of the fic written.

Thank you everyone for answering my questions.

Try to finish the stories already posted, your readers have gotten involved with them and might get confused if another story suddenly appears.

Totally love the Flash! Hope Barry and Iris get married at the end of this season. Have not watched the Arrow.
