With a tentative ceremony scheduled for the Kerths on April 29, it's time to officially start thinking about presenters for each category.

Again, those categories are as follows:

Best Short -Folc4evernaday
Best Mid-length -folc4evernaday
Best Long/Epic -Groobie
Best Revelation -Darth Michael, presented by Groobie
Best First Kiss -LMA, via someone else to present, most likely DC
Best Original/Supporting Character -VirginiaR
Best Comedy -Deadly Chakram
Best Overall -Folc4evernaday
Best New Author -Cuidadora

If anyone is willing to present a category or two, please let NK or I know.

I can't get into IRC. My BitDefender said its got a virus in the program... but if we do it someplace else I could present for the mid-length one since I don't have any eligible stories in that category.

DC, Folc and myself have quite a lot of nominated stories, and we really can't present a category that we might win. If you can spare just a couple of hours of your time, we would really appreciate it.

Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to act as MC on the day, that would be awesome as well.

I really wish I could present, but I can't guarantee that I would be available at any given time -- my son (who is severely affected by autism and who can't possibly understand "Not now; Mom's busy") might need me at any time. I plan to do my best to attend the ceremony, but I wouldn't want to take on a responsibility that I might not be able to follow through with.

--I hadn't volunteered as of yet b/c of kiddos (in general, wasn't sure that even if we were free that night, if I'd actually be totally 'free' if the kiddos were awake...). Plus, we recently signed them both up for baseball--b/c of different ages, 5 and 7--they are on different teams with, as yet to be determined, totally different game/practice days . --

Anyway...I probably will not be able to actually 'attend', but like Michael, I'll prepare that category to have ready for someone to deliver.

I can take Best Original/Supporting Character, if nobody else has volunteered for it, and the awards are early enough in the day. Have we narrowed down the time of the awards? I was really hoping to take my husband to prom this year... er... volunteer to chaperone, that is. He's never been.

4pm CST seems to be the vote as of now. Haven't seen any change recently. Have fun at prom and thanks for volunteering.
