Okay, this is so obvious that I can't believe no one has written it at some point. If you know where, please point me in the right direction.

In the episode with the Toasters, Clark outs Lois as a reporter when Toni catches them in a closet together. Lois tells Clark that he should have pretended that they were sharing a passionate moment instead. This creates the obvious story idea of having Clark do just that and seeing where that one change leads.

I'm sure it's been done. Anyone know where?

Thanks!
Hi Michelle!
Yeah, it's definitely been done. Don't remember which stories, though. I'm quite sure, all stories that had LnC in a relationship at the time.

Hmm... goes hunting in the FF Database

Can't believe I didn't immediately think of it. wave Michael
I used it in "All the Daytime and the Nightime" on the Archive and here.

Thanks, folks. I will check those out. Anyone know of a story where it was used as the pivot point to change cannon? I.e., the story follows cannon right up to that point, but then Clark kisses Lois instead of outing her and the story develops from there?
I forget the exact details, but Terry Leatherwood's "Play Some Mountain Music" is set in this episode, and L&C do get together in the end.
Right, and it's quite an amazing alternate universe tale. smile
"Wrong Clark" by Virginia also had them making out in the closet.
Well, the most famous closet story is "A Closet Encounter" by Meridith Knight. But it's not Toni Taylor's closet. Just another closet in the lives of Lois and Clark doing breaking and entering.
enjoy!
