As I recall, Lois's couch (or couches?) were quite uncomfortable. But I don't know if that's canon or fanon.
Also, weren't the couches white or cream or some light color?
And what were they upholstered in? Damask? Brocade?
Is there a particular episode that shows the couches and talks about them?
The couches were either white or cream. I don't know about brocade or not. I remember episodes that showed them very clearly but I can't remember which ones. And I think the idea that they are uncomfortable (besides just looking at them and thinking that they would be) is fanon. There is a wonderful story about those couches but I can't remember what it's called.
Oh, I found it:
Everything But The Couches
Is there a particular episode that shows the couches and talks about them?
I remember them from Resurrection:
They do look uncomfortable.

Wow! Thanks for the pictures! They really show Lois's couch in its full glory. I have to agree that Clark's couch looks more comfortable.
I guess I would describe Lois's couches as "spindly-legged" (at least from Clark's POV.) I'm still not sure what you would call the upholstery - is it brocade? Damask? Other? Are there any furniture fabric experts out there?
