A person (who shall remain annomynous) suggested that Jack O'Neill should respond with a particular phrase to a foreign language statement.

I don't know the actual spelling on this so I will type it as phonetically acurate as possible.

Cum see cum sa

I think it is actually spelled "cum si cum sa"

They think that this is German. I disagree. I think it is either French or Spanish or, even, Latin.

What language is phrase from? It's supposed to convy "so so" or something like that.

It's French and it means "so, so". I know, because that's what I reply everytime my French-teacher ask me how I'm feeling. XD I don't know how it's spelled, though.

My French is pretty rusty, but I believe it's spelled

comme ci comme ça

literally translated as "like this, like that"

Comment ça va?

Comme ci, commme ça.

Et toi?

When I was a kid in grammar school, we used to say this over and over in a sing-song voice just to annoy our teachers. Yes, very juvenile.

I hated french in school. Had to sing the entire national anthem in French every day. Still not sure why, but I can do it...
