Hi... I'm new to these boards, but have been reading fanfic for a while. I'm looking to re-read a story that was an alternate beginning. Lois and Clark met in (I think) Africa. They ended up hiding in a cave with some refugees, getting pretty close, etc.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I think this might be one of my stories. I wrote a story called Without Checking The Water Level. It was about Lois and Clark meeting in an imaginary country in South America. The country ends up in a civil war and refugees from that war hide out in a series of caves in the hills. Clark is there helping out with the refugee effort and Lois comes to get the story. Does that sound like the story you're looking for?
