I know that the Pulitzer Prize has a cash prize that goes with it (If I recall correctly, it’s about $10,000 - although if I’m wrong, please correct me). However, I’m wondering if it also includes a plague or a trophy and if so, what does it look like?

(And yes, this does mean I'm working on another L and C story. blush However, it is going to take a while because I'm limiting the time each day that I'm allowed to work on it laugh I know. I'm an addict blush )

Thanks

Well, I know there's a site about it, and I'm too tired to find the exact link, so you'll have to search on the site for yourself. Go look here: http://www.pulitzer.org/

And yay!!!!!!!! You're writing for us again!

I would hope it doesn't come with a plague. wink

checked out the site saskia pointed out. it has an faq . answer number 13:

13. What do Pulitzer Prizewinners get when they win?
There are 21 Pulitzer categories. In 20 of those categories the winners receive a $10,000 cash award and a certificate. Only the winner in the Public Service category of the Journalism competition is awarded a gold medal. The Public Service prize is always awarded to a newspaper, not an individual, although an individual may be named in the citation.
so, there's your answer. $10,000 and a certificate. no plauge. wink

glad to hear you're writing again, ML. party

"Okay, okay. No plague. But maybe they could at least consider a plaque," says ML, carefully studying her dictionary to make sure she gets it right this time wink

Anyway, thanks everyone. A certificate could definitely work for what I have in mind.

ML (who just realized that she's out of time for working on the story any more today - well, maybe just another hour or so while I watch the football game laugh )

Seriously, thanks for the encouragement. Given how excited everyone seems to be about my new story, I'll be sure to try to make it a good one.
