Whoo hoo! This is gonna be good!

Whee, new story! Sounds alarming, though. I can deal with adults in trouble but kids hit me a little harder... but you know I'll still read it smile

I'll have to go check the timeline, but I suspect the name "Blashvor" will come up at some point soon...

Fear not, Pam. Jason comes out all right, although not quite as you might expect.

And yes, Blashvor does ultimately figure prominently in the story, but first Alan has to do his part.

Since there usually aren't a lot of readers, let's keep all the feedback, if there is any more, in this thread, all right?

Uh-oh. Did Alan, the irreplaceable psychic in the Terran Underground, just get captured? This bodes ill.

An interesting thing, the "power pack". Who are the boy and the Patrolman? Will the Patrolman desert his post? Does the Patrolman know that he's a psychic? His life has just changed.

A new story is being posted. <does happy dance>

And there's already several parts up.

More soon please?

Gosh, what a throw of the dice Alan is making! But he's already made it through two interrogations. It's desperate, but he's taking the chance. Good job.

Wow. Interesting ending, having our heroes off in hyperspace with, literally, the universe open before them. Anything could happen.

What's the backstory of Patrolman Trevor? From the hints you've dropped, it sounds very scary. As your character said, he's about to get a lesson in interpersonal relationships.

Looking forward to more!

The back story on Trevor will emerge in the Reluctant Pirate. He's going to get that lesson and more.

I have to wait to post it because the story is with someone who is converting it to Word. When I get it back I'll start working on it, and posting.

laugh I was laughing so hard during this last section I could barely breath. laugh

What a scene that must have been for the patrol to run in on.

Caught up with this this morning... what fun. cool Of course, it would have been too easy for Trevor & Jason to join the Underground straight off. But Mark & Alan were on their own for a while, too, and they did okay.

Looking forward to the next one... and let me offer again; I'd be happy to help you convert these if you want.

The Reluctant Pirate is in the hands of the same person who converted several other stories for me. I'll keep your offer in mind for future stories, Pam.

When she gets it back to me I'll start working on editing it. Right now it is in the same condition that it was when Linda first wrote it. She and I collaborated via telephone on many of the points in the story, but Blashvor, Trevor and Jason were all her brainchildren.

In the meantime, I need to get back to work on my L&C stories.

Can't wait for more on this.

I have updated the TOC.

Thank you, again, Nan, for these wonderful stories.

How fortunate that this thread was bumped to the top - today (September 19) is International Talk Like A Pirate Day .

It\'s become an international holiday.

Just sayin'.

Thanks for the update, James. As soon as Ami gets back to me with the rest of the story, I'll start editing it and posting. The Reluctant Pirate is a longer story than A Slight Deception, and hopefully will satisfy everyone over how Jason and Trevor become friends. Trevor has a lot to make up for, but I think you'll agree that he comes out smelling like a rose. And so does Blashvor.
