Yay, another TU story!! smile I've been curious about this one for a long time...

So, Raghiki? That was unexpected. Wonder what they're kidnapping her for... and how they expect to survive the experience wink

Looking forward to part 2...

Thanks, Nan! I had to go looking for the timeline to see where this one fits in, but now I've figured it out. Looking forward to the next part. Any idea how many chapters we'll be getting?
Posted By: ChiefPam Re: FDK - Empath - 09/28/09 09:34 AM
Yay, part 2! Much is exlained... got some mini-episodes of angst in there... I especially feel for Kevin, fighting Angie... dang. frown

And oh, man, that powder again... I just hope Mark is more resistant to it than Alan & Angie... or maybe he'll think he's a 'trol again and they can get him to take them to m'Lady... <g> but if he falls asleep, nobody's gonna be able to carry him for long...

PJ

p.s., are we going to have to wait another five days for the next part? whinging

Okay, thanks for resolving the cliffhanger at the end of part 2... but part 3 is worse! peep

Usually at this point I say I'm looking forward to more, but... oh, okay, I am, but much more cautiously than usual! smile

Still reading, just haven't had time to post . . .

Waiting for part 4!

Yes, finally getting to this one.

I've read the first two parts and wow, you haven't lost your talent for cliff-hangers.

Looking forward to reading more soon.

James

ok, read the rest. Goodness, I haven't had this much adrenaline running through me since the last time I was watching a suspence-thriller!

More soon please.

Wow, it just keeps getting worse, doesn't it? eek

Excellent action-adventure, Nan. Looking forward to more, soonest...

<blink> Okay, that was soonest. Thanks! smile

Boy, there's nothing like fear for your life to break down social barriers, is there? goofy And good for Alan, standing up to a blaster!

It's funny, actually; I was taking a break from my Saturday chores for lunch, and thought I'd pull up the site here to re-read some of the old TU stories. And I got a new part, instead! Sweet.

If I take another break an hour from now, can we do this again? goofy

Afraid not. Today is my brother's bowling day. Jim is handicapped, if you remember, and bowling is his favorite activity, next to watching DVDs. So we're off to Poway Fun Bowl in a few minutes. I'll probably post again tomorrow.

I hope you and he had fun bowling smile

Tomorrow's more than soon enough.

I don't blame the Lady for stunning Alan. I know from experiance that women in labor do strange things...

James

Wow, two parts! Yay!

This was really good, Nan. I think my favorite part is when the patrolman was trying to explain events to Halthzor... poor kid's world has been turned upside-down, what with his boss's wife shooting him and his boss's enemy helping him... laugh

I knew Jils were strong, but I was impressed when the Lady pulled Kevin onboard. She'd been starved and abused for days, then in long and painful labor... not to mention the blood loss... after *my* kids were born I barely had enough energy to walk across the room smile Superior, indeed.

So, good ending, with a little punchline there goofy It didn't surprise me, 'cause I've read all your other stories, but still, it was fun to watch Eric and Mark be stunned by it.

Thanks for posting so quickly!!

PJ

p.s., nice to see Eric and Ruthy *finally* got married. What took them so long? "Miss Vogleman" indeed...

Nice story. Enjoyed it very much, just the thing to read when I'm up late and supposed to be finishing a project for work due tomorrow morning. (Not really what I should be doing, but when I saw two new chapters posted I couldn't pass it up.)

I love this series, thanks for posting this one.

This is James, hi-jacking Elisabeth's login again...

Neat, three new parts to read!

Yipee!!!

Ok, this is still James high-jacking Elisabeth's login.

Wow, what a wonderful story! So, is there a story where Halthzor makes good on his 'debt' to Alan?

When is the next one coming out?

James

Yes, I believe that one has already been posted. I don't know it off the top of my head.
Posted By: lgordon Re: FDK - Empath - 10/22/09 08:23 AM
After scanning through it, I believe the story is Rescue Mission. smile
Posted By: Nan Re: FDK - Empath - 10/22/09 10:46 AM
No, Halthzor owed Alan one in Rescue Mission as well, since Alan led the rescue party that saved Halthzor from his cousin, Scwinthzor.

We never wrote the story where Halthzor pays off his debt of honor, but a later son born to Halthzor is named Alanthzar, in honor of Alan Westover. Naturally Halthzor didn't exactly explain that to his peers. <g>

Will we be seeing another one soon??? grovel

I'm trying to get organized after Christmas. Tara was going to scan a story for me so I could get it converted to jpg but she has been very busy with her new baby. I bought myself a gift of a scanner for Christmas and am going to scan the story myself, then have a friend convert it if she has the time. Hopefully I'll have one up soon, but I have to finish Games People Play as well, and deal with the flooding we had with the storms that hit us last week, too.

Don't worry. I haven't stopped posting. I've just had to prioritize a little.

Loved the punchline on the end of this one.

Sort of felt sorry for the Lady, knowing absolutely nothing about childbirth even after having children. Sadly, it's not that much of a stretch in RL. I once talked to someone who was giving children in the twilight era, who didn't remember birthing any of her children.

Elisabeth
who never did anything unpredictable during labor, despite what the hubby jests about
Posted By: Nan Re: FDK - Empath - 05/09/10 02:00 PM
Thanks, Elizabeth. By the way, this story was the brainchild of my sister, Linda Garrick. She was the one that wondered what would happen if the Viceroy fell in love with an empath and how he would react to a threat to her safety. Halthzor never admits that he knows, but I would think that he might strongly suspect.

I haven't quit posting the TU stories. It is simply that my time is severely impacted by my brother's hospitalization. Hopefully that will be over soon and I'll have a little more time in my day to do what I'd like to do.
Posted By: Mister Data Re: FDK - Empath - 06/06/10 01:36 PM
Glad to hear that you are not done with TU.

I have been away for a while and look forward to more soon.

Regardless, I hope your brother gets better soon.
