In the comics Clark has spent the last two years on Warworld, powerless (because Warworld is powered by a red sun) and fighting in the arena as Mongul's prisioner. During that time, he wore a very revealing outfit:

Recently he came back and in the latest Action Comics #1051 it was revealed that he kept the outfit apparently for other purposes:

And I couldn't avoid thinking it asks for a fanfic (or nfic, most likely).
