But if haiku's too short,
here's another good sport:
How 'bout limericks? Would that be alright?

There was a reporter named Lane
Who had Superman oft on her brain
But he seemed so aloof
Til she jumped from the roof
Now she's fine, but he's gone near insane!

You can cut a limerick in half and have two haiku.
