OK, I was reading something where someone suggested that Clark/Superman saving Lois 3 times in a film was a record. I though "no way, he clearly saves her life more times than that in Witness." So I decided we should try to come up with how many times Clark/Superman saves Lois's life. I will make a separate challenge for other life saves.

1- Witness - Clark Saves Lois from being pushed into traffic by a skateboarder.

2- Witness - Clark catches the bullet fired by Finn at Lois.

3- Witness - Clark chases off Finn disguised as Mr. Tracewski when he is trying to suffocate Lois.

4- Witness - Superman saves Lois on the roof of an office building in a weird sequence that seems a lot like he is using her as part of a wack-a-mole game.

5. Pilot - Clark - saves Lois (and Jimmy) from blowing up at the Messenger Hangar.

6. Pilot - Superman - saves Lois (and a whole bunch of other people) from blowing up in the space shuttle.

7. ASU - Superman saves world from Nightfall, i.e. therefore also saves Lois.

I'm guessing you want actual "rescues" here and won't count, something like HoL - Lois's love of Clark saves her from a life (or death) as Lex Luthor's wife. If you, John, as moderator feel as if this counts. Please add a number to it.

Well, if we want to get to 100, we will probably count non-standard things, plus they are more fun, so the love from Clark saving Lois from marrying Lex counts as #8.

11. "Don't Tug on Superman's Cape" - Clark stands between Lois and the killer helicopter sent by the Lakes.

12. "Stop the Presses" - Superman fuses the missile so it does not blow up, thus saving Lois because it would have leveled most of Metropolis.

17. "Requium for a Superhero" - Clark (I think) creates an "earthquake" so the bad guys go away and do not find Lois while B&E.

18. "Individual Responsibility" - Superman distracts Church from having his gun on Lois.

19. Ordinary People - Clark saves Lois from Tiger.

20. Don't Tug on Superman's Cape - Superman saves Lois from being a private collectible.

21. The Return of the Prankster - Clark saves Lois's modesty by covering her semi-naked body with his jacket.

22. "Ordinary People" - Clark saves Lois from drinking poisoned water by using his superpowers to make a well (thus for the second time loosing the bet). Hmm, "Ordinary People" does have Clark save Lois 3 times.

23. "The Prankster" - Clark by calming Lois down when she runs to his apartment saves her from dying of fright, or at least makes her life much more pleasant than it would be at home on a hard couch.

24. "The Return of the Prankster" - Superman saves Lois from the exploding power plant.

25. Just say Noah - Superman saves Lois (& Jimmy) from Lightning Rod and flooding death.

34. HiM - Superman saves Lois from investigating Roarke properly and possibly knowing what he was up to by interrupting her B&E of Apocalypse Consulting.

35. HiM - Clark saves Lois from bomb blast by sitting down (on sofa bomb in honeymoon suite).

36. IoG - Superman saves Lois from drowning (don't know if this really counts because he locked her in the tank and turned on the water, though).

37. IoM - Superman saves Lois (and the rest of the USA) from a life without technology by quickly applying the antidote to the Ides of Metropolis computer virus.

38. Rival - Superman saves Lois (and Linda) from death by freon poisoning at the hotel freezer *before* stopping the assignation of the Secretary of State. (Isn't he a nice guy? )

39. Vatman - Clark saves Lois from the date rape from hell... er... Superman clone.

40. FlyHard - Superman saves Lois from falling off the Daily Planet building.

41. Operation Blackout - Superman saves Lois when she gets thrown out of her window (although he takes his sweat time about it).

42. When Irish Eyes were Killing - Superman saves Lois from being sacrified to Druid gods.

43. House of Luthor - Clark saves Lois from total depression about the collapse of her wedding and everything going wrong by showing up right when she most needs him.

44. Ides of Metropolis - Clark saves Lois from going to jail for harboring a fugitive by hiding Eugene where the cops don't find him at her apartment.

45. "I've Got You Under My Skin" - Clark (in Woody Sams's body) shows up at their townhouse and saves Lois from breaking her marriage vows. OK, so with how long it took Woody to get back in Calrk's body and how odd he was acting, she would have probably noticed even if Clark had not showed, but still.

46. "Soul Mates" Charles "Lone Rider" Reid saves Lulu from the clutches of Tempus Tex. I figured I had to give him a name, so make it sort of like the Long Ranger.

47. "Seconds" (I think that is the name of that Wedding Aargh episode) - Superman saves Lois from Luthor's collasing lair (although not her memory).

48. "Forget Me Not" - Superman saves Lois from becoming an assassin.

How about Charles "Lone Rider" Knight? Then his initials will still be CK.

Yes, I like that better. Although maybe we should be a bit more creative and call him Clarence "Lone Rider" Knight.

49. "Wall of Sound" - Superman breaks the sound barrier and saves Lois from the clutches of Lenny Stoke.

50. "Wall of Sound" - Clark beats Lois in the competition for a Kerth and saves her career from atrophying with no competition.
