jawdrop I don't think in this day and age, Clark would be so open with his secret identity with politicians.

I remember reading that - Superman was conned into appearing on a TV show (I think This Is Your Life) where all of his friends etc. were going to be present, including Lois and Clark. Lois suspects that Clark is Superman and thinks that someone else will take his place, but one by one the usual suspects (Batman, Jimmy Olsen, etc.) are eliminated until nobody is left; for example, Batman unmasks then reveals he is wearing thick makeup underneath to disguise his true identity, and would not be able to do a quick change to help. We later learn that it was JFK.

The sad part of it was published in an issue that came out a couple of weeks after Kennedy was assassinated. They thought about pulling it and putting in a different story, but there's an end bit they added saying that they were leaving it as a tribute to him.
