In the last couple of days, two people asked me about a tutorial for Windows Movie Maker.

They didn't know anything at all about this software, so I just covered the basics:

- Importation of video and sound files
- Cutting the clips
- Add effects and transitions
- Add Titles and Credits
- Save the hard work.
...

If anybody else don't know anything about using Windows Movie Maker, but would like to try making a music video:

Here the link for the tutorial:

I hadn't reposted it here completely because it's very long and detailed, with an awful lot of pictures.

Enjoy!

I hope that helps someone.

I figure this will be so useful for budding vidders that I've moved it here into FoLC Productions and stickied it.

This may be a stupid question, but I have to ask...

I'm trying to make music videos and am managing to do everything fine, except adding music! I keep being blocked by the licenses I have on my C.D's. I really want to use this music, but don't know a way around to do this. Can anyone help me? Is it too illegal to try? How does everyone else overcome this problem? Thanks x

Thanks for your reply. I use Windows Media Player. I've spent the last couple of days playing around with it and answered the question myself! I had turned on the 'license music' button while burning from a C.D. Once I had turned this off the music worked fine. Thanks for trying to help me, I appreciate it. smile
