One of the things I want to include with the RPG I'm developing is a MIDI file of drums playing a repetitive tune, to be used to raise tension in a scene. I've found a track that has the sort of drumbeats I want, but I need to strip out the other instruments and I don't have software that can edit it and save it again as a MIDI file.

Anyone here equipped to do this?

I took it apart in garageband and there appear to be two drum tracks, but I can't figure out how to save it as MIDI.
