I tried to look at all current cub reporters in the directory, but it only lists those with no posts. Is it me, or is it not supposed to do that?

Well, look at that! No, it's not supposed to do that, but I don't know why it's not working. Hmm.

It is fun to go through the directory, though, and see what everyone has listed in their profiles. LOL, some of it is really funny.

Indeed it's not supposed to do that. Right now it looks like it's a bug, but people at Infopop are working on it and maybe we'll be able to fix it.

Just for additional information (if needed ) when you tell it to look for Meriweather or Kerth members, it doesn't find any. But I know that there at least a few Meriweather members.

actually, karen... i just realized something. merriweather status is working fine. if you look now, you'll get a couple of listings.

the thing is that section editors and EICs are listed seperately. so, even though labby has kerth status, she'll only show up in a search for "section editor," not "kerth." similarly, even though anna, saskia, pam, and i all have "merriweather" status, we'll only show up under "section editor" (or EIC, in pam's case).

however, cub reporter is still only listing those with zero posts.

what i noticed about that, though, is that it only lists 60 people and ends with member #129. we've got 234 members now, and it's still only listing the first 60 who have yet to post. i wonder if the search just maxed out at 60 listings, and if those with more than 0 posts would show up further down the line.

When Rivka first mentioned this problem, I noticed that only 60 people were listed so I expanded the search results to 200. The Boards members at that point were 180 (more or less), but, even so, Cub Reporters who had posted at least once didn't show up in the search results.

The maximum number of results is 500, but large searches tend to use more disk space and since they're not working properly in the first place, I think we can keep the default 60.

As for members who have Meriwether (or Kerth) status who don't show up in a search...what Paul said.

Grr. I swear it wasn't working for me at the time, really! *beats computer for making her a liar*

BTW, further research (read: I hit the wrong button by mistake ) shows that this is ONLY a problem with Cub Reporters. If you ask it to do a search with no parameters, it brings up a list of all registrees -- which is what I really wanted anyway!

Just curious, but what are the levels and what how many posts do you need to attain each one?

• Meriwether 50-99 posts
• Kerth 100-299 posts
• Pulitzer 300 posts and up

Then there are Section Editors (forum moderators) and Editors in Chief (administrators).

yesterday I did a search in the location field with Spain, and I found three members registered with that location, Cris, Sunny and me, with consecutive member numbers . Any other member from Spain out there?

Oooh, I hadn't noticed you could do that! Thanks for the heads up, Jose. I did it for France and came up with three matches, too. Neo, someone else who hasn't posted anything (yet!) but actually lives not far from me , and myself. C'mon! Stop lurking, French FoLCs!

Final update.

It was indeed a bug and the guys at INFOPOP fixed it, but we won't see the results till the 6.6.0 release (we're now using 6.5.0).
