Article about the DSCOVR observation satellite now at the L1 position a million miles from Earth, including time-lapse video of the Earth and moon.

Wow. I'm speechless. That animation of a partial terran eclipse was amazing.

Not a animation unless you mean stop motion. Actual footage from the sat.

I used the term "animation" because that is what the caption called it. I realized it was actual footage; that is why I thought it so amazing. Had it been CGI, it would have been no big deal; CGI can render pretty much anything one can imagine.

Whatever you want to call it, it still leaves me in awe.

I've run into people online elsewhere who thought it was CGI. Wanted to make sure that wasn't the case.
