Hi everyone. I'm new here. I've been reading the fan fic since sometime late last year, and yet it's taken me this long to get my butt in gear and sign up for these message boards!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Anna and I hail from the lovely city and country mentioned below my post. I'm loving all the stories I've been reading so far - I'm working my way through the authors alphabetically. I'm up to Nan Smith, but haven't been reading every single story, obviously.

Nice to know that there are others working their way through the archive alphabetically. I'm not alone.

Alphabetically seemed like the best way to go... Of course, being the deviant that I am, *ahem* I have deviated from this rule once in a while if a particular story on the 'What's New' page sounded intriguing.

But generally I go alphabetically. Just like everything else in my life (I work in my local Borders bookstore). I always wanted to be a deviant, but sadly, I am largely not one.

Hey Fellow Foodie and Folc!! Some of my favorite food shows are: Paula's Home Cooking 'cuz she uses a stick of butter in everything!! I gain weight just watching her cook!! Secondly,Good Eats!! I love Alton Brown!! My 7 yr. old niece loves him too! She likes to try to make some of his recipes he has done
due to the way the measurements are explained etc.
I know you will just love being a Folc. I started reading in the archive in Dec. and still have not finished it!!! And, more fics are being added everyday!! I,myself, do not write fics,but, I like to read them and give feedback. It is really great when you receive a message from the authors also. It kinda like you are hearing from your favorite celebrity or something like that. But, you realize
they're just regular folk like you and me. Although, I believe it has been written that we Folc's are a species!!!

I have to second what Shimauma said. Once you find this place you can forget about leaving. I know I'm as obsessed with Folcdom almost as much as I am chocolate! Wait a minute...I might be MORE obsessed with Folcdom than with chocolate. That can't be good.

This is something I keep thinking I need to do. There's so many awesome authors out there that I read, and yet I read a lot of them in bits and pieces in between work etc. So since I'm usually rushing somewhere (or, alternatively, it's late at night), I forget to email them some feedback.

Something I need to work on. Because I know if I start to write a L&C story, I'd want feedback.

I just need to stop reading late at night...or maybe write myself a note for the following day! Good idea?

Ohhh yes. Borders have infiltrated the many corners of the globe (which is hard to do, since a globe is round! ).

But seriously. I do indeed work at a Borders in NZ. In Christchurch no less.

They're busy opening about three new stores in NZ this year, I think. One in Wellington (which I think just opened) and two more in Auckland. The original NZ store was in the centre of Auckland.

And that's more than you ever wanted to know about Borders in NZ, I'm sure!
