Now if the rest of us could change a lightbulb like that our lives would be much easier. LOL! Glad you were able to get something written. I like how Jonathan noticed. Parents notice everything.

I bet that conversation later was fun, and kudos to Jonathan for being able to still act as if everything was perfectly normal.

Liked this oneshot ^_^

Right?!? Gosh, I'd SO love to be able to fly smile1

Martha is usually the one who is credited with noticing every detail, so I liked to have it be Jonathan this time who saw Clark's little discovery!

I didn't expect to have anything written for FF this week! But seriously, the title popped into my head before I had any idea what I would actually write about... lol Thanks for reading!

I think by then, they'd had a lot of experience acting like everything was perfectly normal, although...I suppose floating/flying is still quite a big deal. lol I imagine they might have a bit of fun exploring Clark's new ability later that night smile1

I love writing him flying for the first time smile1 Of course, this is still more like "controlled floating" lol but we all know where it will go! clap

And I think of how neat it would be if I could just float up there. Bypass this old rickety ladder completely and…

The ground seems to shift underneath my feet as I momentarily become…lighter.

Aww, cute! I always enjoy "young Clark figures out a new power" fics and this one did not disappoint. I would change lightbulbs all the time too, if I could fly!

Hi Bek!

So... "How many Kryptonians does is take to change a lightbulb?"

Quote
So I have to keep everything…normal. And that means slow. The hay bales have to be carried up into the loft individually.

It had burned out late yesterday evening, although I hadn’t thought to change it then. I could still see, after all.
He is good at this power conservation thingy!

/Squints/ just how old is he…?

Just turning eighteen, it seems.

I close my eyes and think it again. Up. Up. Up!
Neat trick. Let’s not think “up up up” in front of Lana, though.

I lower my eyes to the ground. Down. Down. Down… Slowly, please.

While there were guests at the house. He’s so grounded.

And this is one chore I won’t mind repeating.
