I know the scripts spelled Cat's full name as "Catherine" and not "Catharine" like I spell it here. And yes, it can look kind of Russian, probably because Catharine the Great is spelled with the "a" in the middle. I'm a bit of a rebel, though, so that's what I'm doing.

Enjoy the trio's first full meeting. Let me know if it's what you expected.
Hey Terry! wave

Nice to see this one being posted.

Lois Lane the combat vet is definitely something we don't get to see in fics here that much. Nice nod to the comics cannon given General Lane was the original depiction of the character for Sam Lane.

Greetings Terry.

It was very interesting to see Clark and Cat work out there differences. Coming to work every day only to deal with that kind of stress is ... stressful.

Watching to see how your latest story unfolds.

I like your spelling of Catharine. And especially that she's not the office tease... or worse. Little details like that help cement in my mind that this is an AU.

Definitely an interesting first meeting with Clark, Cat and Lois.

Quote
Clark stared for a moment, then turned back to Cat and asked, “She always like this?”

Cat shook her head without breaking eye contact. “Oh, no. This is one of her good days.”

A half-smile crept onto his face. “Then I’ll be careful.”

Laughed this section, and what happened just before but no spoiler here. wink

My favorite part though is the scene with Martha and Jonathan doing what good parents do, getting Clark to pick himself up after a real or imagined failure and keep going forward. clap

So here's the scene where Lois almost shoots Cat. Their conversation doesn't make it sound like a particularly unique incident. But maybe that's the problem. (What am I saying; of course it's a problem.)

It was good to see Clark picking himself up... with a kick provided by the Kents. His experience at Met U caused him to mature earlier, and it shows in his current-day interactions.
