Loved it!

It was sweet and fun. I liked the cameo by Mike. I also enjoyed the idea that someone with so much responsibility wanted to be able to simply serve others. You drew a great parallel between her service and Superman. I very much like that they are able to keep each other's secret. Oh! And the two guys out looking for the missing Superman for "Mr. Big" was a really great touch. It stands to reason that Lex would try to exploit the situation.

Like Sue, I loved the story. It adds meat/backstory to the original story you wrote and added dimension to Sister Mary Frances. Cool that Mike put in an appearance, I assume he frequently helps by letting the Mother Superior know when/where the Sister is needed.

One of the great things about Fan Fiction is the lack of a 42/43 minute limitation to tell a story. You have taken one small scene in Lois and Clark and have made a full fledged character from it and integrated that character into Lois and Clark's lives as I suspect sometime in the future Clark will tell Lois about the Sister/Mother Superior which since Mary Frances seemed to know Lois should be an interesting exchange between the two.

Glad you enjoyed this prequel. I've always thought of Mike as an angel, so thought him working with Mary Frances made sense.

The parallels between Superman/Clark and Mary Frances just keep piling up. Seems like I think I've found them all, and nope there's another.

I loved the idea that Clark and Mary Frances both had a secret that the other could keep. And they both understand how important it is to keep their secrets safe, although for vastly different reasons.

The first time I watched All Shook Up, my first thought when Henry O found Clark was that one of Lex's underlings would discover Clark without his memories. I'm glad it didn't happen that way. Couldn't resist adding the two guys to show Mary Frances being herself and rescuing Clark. (Another parallel is that they both rescue others.)

A lot can be learned about a person over a pot of tea and a plate of seriously yummy cookies!

This was a delightful story! Clark must be happy to have such an interesting person as Sister in his life. Even better, she has a secret identity of her own to keep.

Sister Mary Frances is quite observant. What a wise father she had in instilling in her the virtue of seeing individual people through the chaos. I'm sure his advice is what led her to become the successful Mother Superior she was.

I, too, liked Mike. Not so much his divine intervention on their marriage, but the man as a person, a character, their guardian angel. I like that Sister Mary Frances recognizes Mike when she sees him as if they deal or work often together, yet he erases her memory as he eventually does with Clark and Lois. Perhaps it is a little bird by the name of Sister Mary Frances who suggests that Lois and Clark might need a little help to align the fates in order for them to finally marry. I picture a future vignette with Sister Mary Frances and Mike having a conversation where she tells him about the troubles her friend Clark has had, when all he wants to do is marry the woman he loves.

The detail about the two thugs who are searching for Superman at the Mission really draws the reader in and makes the story about more than just these two good people who happen to have more in common than a casual observer might realize. It reminds the reader that while there are these two good people in the world, there is still evil nearby. I'm so glad that Sister Mary Frances was able to help Clark as he will some day be able to assist her.

Glad you liked the story of Mary Frances' father. I'm sure it made her more successful and a happier person. And it's probably at least part of how she saw through Clark's disguise.

I agree with you about the character Mike. I liked him, just thought the divine intervention contrived in the wedding episode. I'm beginning to think this could turn into a series with Mary Frances turning up in between scenes or between episodes. And working with Mike at least part of the time to make things right for Lois and Clark could prove an interesting twist.

Glad you found the two characters searching for Superman added to the story.

I like that you've come back to this character's story. It's something I like doing, too - taking a minor character from the show and developing him or her into someone well-rounded. You've crafted an interesting backstory for Mary Frances, and have found a believable reason for having these occasional encounters with Clark. It nice for Clark to have another person he can trust with his secret. Good job!

Loved it! So sweet and I love the idea of them both having their own secret identities. I especially enjoyed how you wove in so many connections - Sister having taught Lois, then having witnessed Clark-as-Superman whilst not in uniform - twice! - and Mike tying them all together. Artfully done!

The line about teacher nuns had me rolling! I am a proud survivor of Catholic schooling from K-College and have had my share of nuns as teachers! They certainly are tough cookies (in the best way)!

(I'm sure that part of Clark's trouble in tracking Sister/Mother down was the prevalence of "Mary Franceses" out there too!!!)

Thanks for commenting about the nun teachers. My experience is from what I heard from others who had nuns as teachers, and I hoped it could be believable. I just saw Mary Frances as going into protective warrior mode, whether to make her students mind and become well-behaved or to protect Clark. And it was just too much fun to pass up for for a nun to be protecting Superman.
