Yeah! Finally.... I was having a small panic attack there for a while, Nan!

I liked Lori's appreciation of Dr. Klein and her perspective on Tempus.

It occurs to me that all Clark has to do when the time machine is all tested out is to travel back to the time just prior to Lori's abduction and take her out of there before Tempus can sent her back to Lois' time. But now Lori is a part of that timeline...oooh, time travel always has that "what happened first, the chicken or the egg" trap to it. Your mind whirls and whirls...

Speaking of seeing, I've been surprised by all the references to how very much Lori looks like Lois (clone jokes, etc). I knew there were similarities (height, dark hair and eyes, etc), but I didn't think they were *that* close. I think I liked it better when Lori wasn't a carbon copy (at least physically) of Lois. Not sure why -- maybe, in my mind anyway, it makes Lori less of her own person, which is a shame.

Regardless, I'm still loving this story. And the interaction between L&L is terrific.

Oh, and I note that even in a series set a hundred years in the future, you *still* manage to get Henderson involved

I don't know why Lori should be surprised by any non-apropos-seeming comment by Bernie. Surely that aspect is in the history books?

Regarding Pam's comment re the Lori/Lois lookalike thingy... hm, I'd say that even if they weren't *that* alike, the nine-month-pregnant aspect probably makes them look a lot more similar.

As the for the Lori/Lois thing, I have to agree with Hazel, the the pregnancy similarites must be causing a double vision aspect for some people.

Well, we know from the Clark Kent/Superman thing that most people aren't that observant, so I guess the pregnancy would be a confusing factor. But then you've got Perry saying Lori looks just like Lois did, ten years ago... oh, well, I'll stop trying to picture it in my head and just enjoy the story...

There's plenty more plot, but I haven't had as much time as I'd like to write it. Last week was crazy between babysitting, the roofers and the guys putting on the new heat pump, sandwiched between eye appointments for the twins and their contacts, and school registration. <g> It's much easier to simply type up an already written manuscript (a la Crystal Demon) than to be creative when you've got so many other irons in the fire. Hopefully, however, things are starting to quiet down. I have only a couple of appointments this week, so maybe I'll be able to fit in a little more writing.
