At least this chapter ended on a promising note...

...Where we come to discover that Clark is a Game of Thrones fan wink
What really makes me curious is that there are still 24 chapters left: L&C have already had their first time, and they will supposedly have their first date in a few hours... What else could they experience in their relationship in such a great amount of story left? A lot of things, I suppose wink We'll see.

Ha! I thought it would be fun to sneak a GoT Easter egg in and see who noticed.

As for what else can possibly happen...lots. Lois is still in the dark about Clark's secret after all. wink

What a great chapter, DC clap hyper. I'd been wanting to read since you posted, but just got the time this morning. Definitely worth the wait notworthy.

Me, being a huge fan of WAFF (and even that is probably an understatement wink ), really enjoyed all these moments between Lois and Clark...

First off, I really loved your dialog. It's very authentic-sounding, so much like the series, between the two of them. It's incredibly easy to picture 'scenes' unfolding as I read your work--and because of that, this part totally felt real, right. You could sense their friendship--their strained friendship--and the need that they had to talk it all out. And then the 'talk' itself...I really enjoyed it clap. Clark's confusion about everything these last few days and his questioning about how to get back to normal with Lois. Lois' feelings of rejection from Clark--which would have been hard for her to take, I'm sure, considering the experience with Lex, etc. They needed to hash everything out--and Lois taking the lead was great to see.

I'm so glad that the 'date' is going to happen--and I'm happy that the air has been cleared. Boy though...getting the whole 'Superman' thing out there--that's going to be a big stumbling block, I get the feeling.

Can't wait for their tomorrow night date (to be read next weekend mecry--gunna be a long week, DC).

Great job!
Laura clap

Hi, Laura! wave

Glad you liked it, and glad to hear that it was worth the wait.

I'm relieved to hear that my attempts to make such a difficult situation for Lois and Clark at least somewhat WAFFy worked. Funny thing - you mentioned my dialogue. Dialogue used to be the absolute hardest part of story writing for me. Luckily, L&C are really easy characters to write for (at least, to me) and I've been able to polish up that skill with them as my willing? test subjects. evil

Yes, a date is in the air, but what other surprises might pop up before then?

Awww...so sweet! So glad that Lois pushed Clark into talking about what was going on between them, not letting his awkwardness blow up into something bigger in her mind. They both know neither consider that night a mistake and that they want to explore a relationship together. Things are so much easier when they're honest with each other. wink So let's see how they move forward together...

It's amazing what a little communication can accomplish, huh? Things will definitely be moving forward...
