The Vignette

Tell me what you think!

It took me reading it through twice to get it -- Superman was invited to the Royal Wedding! And yes, he certainly could NOT go in the blue and red suit--oh boy, would the tabloids have had a heyday on THAT outfit! lol Cute vignette wink
<chuckle> Nice!

There is only one problem...Your story doesn't come with pictures! Photoshop, anyone? wink

Ha! Good one, Nancy! Now I must go rewatch the five hours of royal wedding on the Tivo to look for him. wink

Lynn - We don't need Photoshop. We have him in a tux in "Don't Tug On Superman's Cape" (in one of the dream sequences). laugh
Cute!

Cute idea! Laura
Sue -- Wasn't that Clark in a tux, not Superman? (Clark was also in a tux for his weddings and, IIRC, for the Kerth ceremony.)

Don't get me wrong, if I had to choose, I would prefer to see Clark in a tux instead of Superman. But if I could have both, that would be even better. drool

Is there a difference? :p Actually, there is and it's a simple one. He has "Superman hair" (slicked back) when he's wearing the tux in DTOSC. At the wedding and the Kerths he's got "Clark hair".

Sorry for hijacking the thread, Nancy. For what it's worth, it makes me want to read the story again. clap
Nice one! Maybe pictures from Las Vegas, where he played a casino owner and I think was in a tuxedo several times.

How's this?
Yum! drool drool drool

Thanks!

I wonder how he would look flying in that. (Somehow, I always thought he looked a bit odd flying in the pilot episode. I know that he doesn't need to be in his suit to use his powers, but it is extremely unusual to see him flying in anything but the suit. Capes just seem to be de rigueur flying wear.)

Joy,
Lynn
I doubt he'd fly much in anything so expensive. Remember the comment he made to Martha about a storm over Chicago (I think) and the suit (not the suit) he had on getting a little ruffled and needed repair? He'd probably pack it to Great Britain in what ever way he packs his other clothes around with him. I always thought hyperspace made the most sense.
Ah, but he did fly in the tux in this story -- when he went to rescue the cat. It was to that which I was referring.

Lynn

That's exactly the tux/hair combo I was picturing! Technically, though, wouldn't he have worn a morning suit? A tux is evening wear and the wedding was a morning affair. laugh Seems like most of the men were wearing morning suits. Yet another occasion when a man can just roll out of bed and get dressed while a woman has to plan her dress/hat/makeup. :p

Clark was wearing a morning suit when he married the clone (IIRC).

Like everyone has said, what a cute vignette, Nancy! smile And I, too, love picturing Superman rescuing cats from trees dressed in a tux! laugh

Ahhh... Yes, he did, didn't he? I guess I was thinking of him flying fast enough to get to Great Britain.
Well, I loved the part about him stressing about wanting to go to a wedding. Although, I thought Superman didn't attend those kind of events (i.e. the excuse for why he didn't show up to L&C wedding-s-).

Enjoyed the story. Short and sweet.

Hi Nancy,

Just read the story and it is brilliant.

Give yourself an A Star! (or 10/10 for this.)

Please may we have a sequel - Lois and Clark in London to report on the wedding for the Daily Planet?

This would make life easier for Clark to disappear and get into his morning suit to join the guests in the Abbey and Lois could actually be sitting next to him as the Planet's reporter?

Regards,

Stuart
Great story, Nancy! A fun little vignette, which is just my speed these days. And the photo... drool
