Now that Clark is being the husband I knew he could be, I have nothing to complain about, darn it.
Lovely, detailed, writing as always.

Clark certainly was the perfect husband in this piece!

And it seems like the end for Jiang, which is good!

Ah, really good and satisfying. Strong B plot, moving on the A plot.

I see. So, their autonomy also extends to the judicial systems, then. But it still is interesting that the Metropolis lieutenant of the Triads could get a less severe punishment than a reporter shooting her source in cold blood over some old age old grievance.

Thanks, Michael. I tried to write as much of the mushy stuff as possible while keeping it PG-13, because I felt that in this case, it was important to the plot. As for the legal stuff, well, TV always does weird things with trials - in hardly any state would Lois's "shooting" of her source have been a death penalty case. Also, murder trials take years from arrest to penalty phase, not two weeks. I try to keep the legal stuff as close to realistic as possible without sucking the drama out of it.
