Thoughts?

Now that Clark is being the husband I knew he could be, I have nothing to complain about, darn it.
Lovely, detailed, writing as always.

Clark certainly was the perfect husband in this piece!

And it seems like the end for Jiang, which is good!

Ah, really good and satisfying. Strong B plot, moving on the A plot.
Looking forward to more!

...Thus proving that a story doesn't have to be angsty to be complete, detailed, and engrossing.
Interesting on all the legal stuff. It looks as if you've Done The Research. Always nice.

Lovely vhapter. Lovely B-plot. Interesting A-plot.

And that is all I can say at the moment. Sorry!

That's the first time Superman has carried Lois like that since he left for NK 6 years ago, isn't it? And he does it in plain sight. What's the media going to say?

“Ditto, Mr. Kent,” she replied as she stretched lazily, letting her legs tangle with his.
Wow, that was an entire 'fade to fireworks' scene in PG-13 fic clap Which reminds me. I always wondered what would happens if a prankster switched the coffee pots? confused Maybe this...

It's all too easy. There's got to be a catch somewhere...

Macau doesn't have the death penalty. Also, since I base Metropolis on New York, and New York hasn't used the death penalty in over a decade (and it's only on the books as being the penalty for murder with extremely aggravating circumstances), it wouldn't apply to Jiang.
I see. So, their autonomy also extends to the judicial systems, then. But it still is interesting that the Metropolis lieutenant of the Triads could get a less severe punishment than a reporter shooting her source in cold blood over some old age old grievance. huh confused

Thanks for your comments, everyone.

Sorry you can't find anything to complain about, SJH. wink

Glad to see you enjoyed this part, DW.

Thanks, Artemis. I'm glad the balance of A and B plots seems to be working.

Angst, was this story angsty before, Amy? wink

Thanks, Iolan, but I used to be a lawyer, so it's more just memory as opposed to research.

I'm glad this section worked for you, Ann. Thanks!

Thanks, Michael. I tried to write as much of the mushy stuff as possible while keeping it PG-13, because I felt that in this case, it was important to the plot. As for the legal stuff, well, TV always does weird things with trials - in hardly any state would Lois's "shooting" of her source have been a death penalty case. Also, murder trials take years from arrest to penalty phase, not two weeks. I try to keep the legal stuff as close to realistic as possible without sucking the drama out of it.

More is on the way.
