Not much action in this part. Just setting the groundwork for what's to come.

All feedback welcomed.

cheers,

Fascinating smile

Wonder how they're going to find Charlotte?

Looking forward to part 4! smile1 smile1 smile1 smile1
Charlotte Dodgson, who no one has heard of and who appears to have NEVER been in London.

Hmm, can we say investigative reporter determined to find "Jack the Ripper" by going undercover as a whore?
Charlotte's name has been bothering me until I found a picture of the real Charlotte Mary Dodgson in 1862:

It was taken by her cousin Charles. laugh

However, I doubt that this is our Charlotte, since our story is set in 1888.
Oh, and Charles had a sister Mary Charlotte Dodgson. (With 11 kids in the family I guess they had a shortage of names.)

Please don't take this as criticism, but I would think the surname Dodgson would be familiar to Holmes, even if Charles Dodson wrote under another name and the family didn't live in London. Dodgson's book The Game of Logic was published in 1886, and would have interested Holmes even if his other publications did not.
Thanks to all who are sticking with with the story and leaving feedback along the way.

DW: Part four is posted. I hope you enjoy it.

Framework4: Interesting hypothesis. Read today's post to see how close you've come to guessing the storyline. (I won't say more here in case anyone is reading this before they have read part four.)

cookiesmom: Thanks for the photo. After reading part four you'll know more about the relationship, if any, between the photographed individual and "my" Charlotte. Were I to say anything more about either of your posts here, I'd be creating a spoiler. So I'll say more in my part four feedback post tomorrow.

cheers,
Lynn
