Tempus! That begger! :p What an original way to use him though, Laura! My heart was in my mouth following Penny as she slowly but surely put it all together.

I was on the edge of my seat during Penny's confrontation with Superman, willing Clark to find a way to turn her suspicions.

Penny wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close. "But I am in danger. In danger of falling, falling madly in love with you." She placed a soft kiss on his cheek and moved to his lips.

<growl> Back off, blondie!

And poor Clark! His state of absolute panic when he returned to Lois was superbly written, Laura! Wanted to give him a hug. <G>

Thank goodness Clark has Lois batting for him on his team!

And then, after all that, you wrapped this up with a wonderfully waffy final scene and this:

I enjoyed every moment of this story, Laura. Almost sad it's over.

This is a great rewrite of one of the nicest episodes of Season IV.

It's sexy and funny and the solution is brilliant. Poor Penny!

Thank you, everyone that has posted feedback on this story! I was really nervous posting it because it is my first story that has had a real a plot and a major character that wasnlt Lois, Clark, or HG Wells

. I am really glad you all seemed to like Penny. She was so much fun to write! I sort of had an idea of how someone that is obsessed would behave and how something so simple might sober her up. I was trying to convey that she was infactiuated with the *idea* of Superman while Lois was in love with the real man.
