Too late in the day for me.

I'll have to find out the results after the fact.

After missing last year grumble I resolved that any time was going to work for me this year.

So, just to make sure my subtraction is correct:
8:00 pm Central Daylight Time => 6:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time (where I am)

I'll be there. smile

That will make it the middle of the night for our European contingent.

Last year it was around 2 PM Central.

I'm sorry that you won't be there, Ken. I still appreciate you emailing me last year during the ceremony. (I read your messages on my phone while driving cross-country. TFB was driving.) I for one will miss your presence.

eek Oh dear.

I was counting on the fact that this year the ceremony would be much earlier in the day (like it has been in the past). It's my dad's birthday this weekend and my family are all meeting up at the cabin to celebrate. It's a three hour drive from my house and, while I was willing to be an hour or two late, I can't be *that* late in arriving. I hate to bow out, especially since I said I'd present, but I don't what else to do. frown

Lois: You know, I have a funny feeling that you didn't tell me your biggest secret.

Clark: Well, just to put your little mind at ease, Lois, you're right.

I don't think so, Ken. That would make it 5am my time, and I'm sure I wasn't up that early.

I think it has been 6 or 7 PM Central the past few years.

I can present drama if I find my way into the right room. Last year I talked to myself for a good 1/2 hour before Mrs. Luthor came and found me and sent me in the correct direction. What? You guys thought I was joking about getting lost in cyberspace? laugh Trust me, I can get lost anywhere.

I don't know how to present because I only made it to the last bit of last year's ceremony because I got lost and had a prior commitment. So, tell me what to do I'll do my best. I just hope I find the right room.

Corrina,

You could very well be correct. I was in a coffee shop last year using their Wi-Fi so it could have been later than I recall.

Virginia, you are a riot! But I believe I could get lost in cyber space, too.

The transcripts aren't up on the Kerth site for 2011 and 2012, but here's 2010 . The presentations are on the left and will give you an idea of what to do. Everyone does it a little different. I do recommend that you write it ahead of time and then copy and paste into the IRC. It is scary the first time you do it, but it's not as hard as it seems. The IRC will only take a limited amount of words at a time, so you will have to break down your presentation - most people do it by story. Since you were there last year, you know how to do the chat. The award channel is "private" and you will be invited in. Amber will be doing that this year. When you are done making your presentation, she will tell you in a private chat with just you and her who the winner is and then you will announce that.

Missy, Amber is actually the one saying which categories are available, but she has been keeping it pretty up to date. It appears to me that comedy, relationship, alternate/elseworlds/next gen, original/supporting character, and best overall are still open. I'd just pick one and let her know.

I've been fighting my ancient computer all day and I cannot get IRC downloaded.... dizzy

Are we going to have a play-by-play downloaded?

Time for a new computer... but I'll keep trying. Even if I can just be a spectator it will feel like old times...

There is an "IRC chat widget" that you can access from the archive. Did you try that?
