Lois & Clark Forums Forums Fan Fiction Fanfic Challenge Pheromone problems, again

After reading so many Pheromone related stories, and a few TOGOM and Tempus stories I got to wondering, and ended up with an outline.

There is an A plot of sorts and some places for good angst, but I can't do good angst to save my life.

The Pheromone lasts a little while longer on Lois and Clark gives in,
or Clark gives in a little while earlier,

In any case Lois and Clark have sex, Mad Dog Lane decides she was drugged and Kent is a bad evil man. And unknown to her she is pregnant.

At this point Tempus pops open a time window and she finds herself back in time to a point a couple of months prior to Kent's arrival.

However when she walks in to the DP she also finds that everyone thinks she's been missing since the Congo story.

Not sure what is going on she follows up on stories she already did in her own universe and gets scoop after scoop in this altverse.

Then one day in walks Clark Kent. Lois freaks out calling him by name and runs out of Perry's office in terror.

Being as it is not his Lois Clark does not feel that strong connection, and given her reaction to him anything he does feel is unnoticed.

Perry assumes Clark had something to do with what happen in the Congo. Reads him the riot act and sends him packing.

Lois is puzzled when Superman does not appear on schedule but with her foreknowledge is able to save the space station program.

When the Pheromone again hits the Daily Planet Lois is a ready and wearing nose filter telling everyone she has a bit of a head cold.

By now she is visibly pregnant. Seeing for herself the effect of the Pheromone she begins to believe Clark Kent was not lying to her.

Not knowing she is in an altVerse she believes she has changed the past. So wonders how she can tell Clark he is going to be a father with a woman he knows he never had sex with.

Now events in the AltVerse have caught up with her past and she had no foreknowledge of events.

Clark had been working in LA but has taken several side trips to the Congo trying to find out what did happen there to make Lois Lane hate him so much.

The Nightfall Asteroid incident occurs and Clark saves the entire planet. The approach he takes is a little different since he consults other people not the fine folk at EPRAD.

Clark does it in one trip this time but a few chunks are left and while he is wandering around with partial amnesia he still recalls his powers and needing to find Lois in the Congo.

So off to the Congo he goes.

Back in the USA the Nightfall Asteroid incident has proved to Lois that there is a Superman but that for some reason he is in hiding.

A bit of the Nightfall asteroid hits Lex Towers (stole that from somebody's fic) destroying it. Lex is however bottled up in his underground ARK.

Because of the impact he thinks everything above ground has been destroyed. He has supplies to last three years so plans to stay bottled up for at least two. Of course above ground all his "interests" have been left untended and problems are occurring, and of course Lois Lane has the best sources. Since all these things are occurring prior to Preston Carpenter's purchase of the Metropolis Star. And Perry had made it clear Lois needs a partner she has recruited Linda King to work for the Daily Planet.

Lois has her baby and while still on pain meds answers questions for the birth certificate.

Because she is doped up she tells the truth, the baby's father is Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.

This being the days before HIPAA a clipping service makes note of the birth information and supplies it to the weekly Smallville paper along with all the other Smallville related news and rumors from the big city.

Clark is still missing so Martha and Jonathan set out for Metropolis to find out what this Lois Lane person knows.

When they knock on her door Lois opens it and says in shock "Martha, Jonathan". Lois invites them ingoing into full babble mode she tries to make small talk but every word out of her mouth shows she knows far more abut Smallville and its citizens than she should.

Never having met Lois the Kents try to probe into how she knows these things and why she put Clark's name on her child's birth certificate.

Lois goes on a babble talking a bout time travel, Superman and the nightfall asteroid. Along the ways she sketches the symbol of the house of El.

She is trying to answer Martha's question about what this Superman looks like when the dime drops as she is saying, "he looks exactly like Clark without his glasses and with his hair slicked back."

In the Congo Clark has a run in with Kryptonite, in this AltVerse his first such encounter. He loses his powers becomes a prisoner or some bad folks and ends up in the same place the missing Lois Lane of this altVerse is being kept.

At this point he does not really recall why he is looking for her but vaguely recalls Perry White and the Daily Planet. He meets Lois and because she is the Lois of his universe fall hard for her. He is honest with her about his memory problems and the little he does recall.

Lois concludes that Perry sent him to look for her. But is puzzled why Perry would sent this one man. Clark tells he speaks many languages, including many spoken in this area and also tells he is ill and normally much better at what he does.

They escape and begin a dangerous trek to safety each relying on the other. They bond and fall more in love and as Clark's powers begin to return he tells her about his each of his powers. Including funny stories from when he was growing up and just developing his powers.

He and Lois continue to bond and fall in love. Lois declares her love for him and he in turn declares his love for her. However he also expresses concern that away from the dangerous setting they may find their love was nothing more than a response to high stress and danger.

Lois tells him to live in the moment, that if there is anything she has learned in the last couple of years it is to seize the moments.

They fly back to Metropolis and seeing the Daily Planet building the last of Clark's memory returns. He tells his Lois of his meeting with Perry, of the other Lois who ran in terror from him. This Lois concludes that the other Lois is in impostor working for Lex Luthor or Intergang.

They decide to postpone seeing Perry while they check out recent issues of the paper.

They find story after story by Lois Lane and later by the team of Lois Lane and Linda King exposing both Lex Luthor and Intergang.

The two women along with courageous assistant DA Mayson Drake have crippled these huge crime empires.

Nice one. Only one little thing (that doesn't really have to matter): In the Alt-verse from the show, Clark Kent's parents died in a car crash when he was ten. But it could be another alt-verse, so...

I also love the idea of both Loises finally meeting up, all of our favourite reporters figuring out the truth and sending *our* Lois and her child home to their Clark. What a surprise! Maybe shortly after Clark met this world's Mayson and - maybe - heard from Bernie that he couldn't father any children? Wouldn't that come as a surprise?

Suppose they don't figure out the truth? At least not right away. Maybe they get their ideas about time travel from watching Star Trek TNG reruns?
Oh what a tangled web...

And what if Lois and child arrive back after the New Kryptonians have arrived?

And this Lois still doesn't really know Clark Kent.

You got me thinking and I ended up with an outline of what is going on in the A AltVerse while the events above are happening in the B AltVerse.

So they (Lois, Lois & Clark) don't need figure out the truth.

Instead the A altverse gets to step in an save the day, in the due course of time.

I may end up doing it but I'm still hoping someone who can really write and do angst will decide they'd like to do it.

If not, well I may flesh out the outline and try to tell the tale.

Anyways events in the A AltVerse

What if Henderson saw Tempus use the time window device but believed it was a weapon and tried to stop him, while calling for Superman.

Lois fled from Clark kent thinking he drugged her and raped her. She flees and Clark is worried about her.

Anyways Henderson in dealing with Tempus breaks the Time window device. Tempus goes to jail while the device goes to Dr, Klein who has to figure out if Tempus killed Lois with a phaser like device or what?

Nightfall happens and when Superman is AWOL Tempus arranges to meet with Henderson, telling him Clark is Superman and it clicks for Henderson who knows where Clark was found. (Yes the idea is most recently Dandello's see Nightfall ) But a number of FICs have Henderson knowing about Clark Kent.

It is up to Henderson to locate Kent and get him back flying. He does and Kent saves the day, again.

In the in the due course of time Klein gets the time window Device working but Henderson makes the first trip in to the B Altverse, not wanting to Risk Dr. Klein or Superman.

By the time Henderson arrives in the B altverse The B AltVerse Lois and Clark are married. they have met the A altVerse Lois and her child but there is no confusion between the two Lois Lanes and the B AltVerse Lois and Clark have the fire deep in the soul bond but A AltVerse Lois doesn't feel any more for this Clark than she does for Jimmy or Perry.

Both Loises have compared notes and found MAJOR differences between their life histories.

They share a past up to the time of Claude. In the B altverse he never arrived and never stole Lois's story.

In the A AltVerse Lois lost the story to Claude who did not follow it to the source but published with what Lois had already.

In the B altVerse Lois kept digging deeper and that is why she ended up in the Congo. This Lois knows that Luthor is behind it and because of that knowledge sees him in a different light.

We already know that A AltVerse Lois Lane aided by Linda King and Mayson Drake, has exposed Lex Luthor.

When the A altVerse Clark Kent does meet both Lois-es he has no trouble knowing which is HIS Lois and she takes one look at him and knows he is her child's father.

Don't just sit there, start writing. And what is the B Henderson doing? Do the A and B Hendersons meet and compare notes?

I might try later if only to be able to write a scene where Cat pepper-sprays Clark and threatens him and Perry hounds him out of the newsroom.
