Wow - what a great start. You've really put your finger on some of the stuff that would go along with time travel, stuff that was glossed over in the show.

I'm glad that Herb (in your fic) is an older and wiser man. The Herb on the show did have some hubris.

Looking forward to more.

Iolanthealias,

In the writing of additional volumes I realized that I needed to go back and edit volume 1 so that it was coordinated with the later volumes.

I had seen in my previous endeavor that there was something lacking. I desired to give not only this volume an intro but something that would introduce the entire set. Hopefully with this prologue I have succeeded in doing just that.

Herb has always been something of a ‘bit part’ in the show however in my Matchmaker set he moves from 'bit part' to center stage.

I will be using the younger as well as the older Herbs as we move through the set. His hubris will continue to be on display as will the seasoned reasoning of the older Herb.

BTW: this set is all being posted on both the Fanfic and nFanfic pages.
