It had both romance from both Lois' and CJ's POV as well as a some suspense and you've closed with another And how cute is this: Quote CJ had graduated quickly from the red-and-white "partnership" roses of their first evening together to all red ones. He didn't need to tell her anything about the depth of his feelings because the flowers spoke of them eloquently enough, but he did so, anyway. CJ, Lois was discovering, was a true romantic, with the soul of a poet. It was a pity, she thought, that he'd gone into law. He would have made a terrific romance writer. We get a sampling of the feelings Lois and Clark have for each other then it gets contrasted by the menace of Luthor. And we know what he wants. Lot's of potential here. Good cliffhanger, but let's investigate what we have. Lois, at Luthor's mercy. Clark is coming but he has no powers. Luthor has a gun. Any bets as to who winds up dead? Tank (who thinks that at least one of our infatuated duo needs to sacrifice him/herself for the other)
