Hi,

Great part! hyper hyper

Quote
“He’s a doctor that Lois is seeing right now – long story. Does he know Dr. Klein? Honestly, I don’t know.” Dr. Peterson was behind this, or at least involved. He had to be if he was giving Lois the Nirvana drug. But was he working alone? Was he working for Intergang? Or maybe for Knox’s company – Omnicorp? And was Dr. Klein working with him? Had someone bugged Lois’s phone line? That would explain how they knew the sample was at Lois’s house and that’s why they had someone break in here – to get rid of the message - only Jimmy had interrupted him before he could finish the job.
Too many suspects? confused

Quote
She quickly scrawled a note and left it taped to the outside of her door.

Dr. Peterson called, needed me to come in early. See you there – Lois.
At least she left a note? hyper

Yey! I was not having such a great day but seeing that there was a new part posted made it just little brighter so thank you. Even if this chapter is totally evil. I still cant believe that you took away so many of Lois' memories, first you start giving them back and giving us hope and the bam you yank all away. You guys are just mean. Im glad that Dr. Patterson is probably gonna turn out to be the bad guy, I hate the thought that Klein might be guilty. Is it wrong that I hate how Lois is being so very Lois? For once it be nice if she actually did what Clark asked. But then again it wouldnt be half as fun.

EEK! Lois left him a message! I had completely forgotten. I hope it's still there.

Oh, Dr. Klein isn't really guilty, is he? (Not that I expect you'll really tell me right now. smile )

No, Lois! Don't go see that doctor! *whimper*

DJ, you're so mean.... *sniffle*

goofy

Still loving it!

Let's see what I can do with very little time....

She had forgotten.

Someone already quoted it, but it's beautiful.

Quote
“Well you weren’t supposed to see me later today. I had a party I was going to last night. That’s why I stayed so late working on this for you – I have the day off today.” Jimmy shrugged. “Your apartment was on my way. If I didn’t get you, I was just gonna leave you a note.”

Clark smiled. The poor kid had to waste his entire night babysitting Clark’s apartment. He was fairly sure Jimmy had given up a date with a girl too, truth be told. There was no one quite like Jimmy.
What a lovely way of writing Jimmy! smile1 Mrs Clark Kent... no. frown Hey, shouldn't a woman be allowed to keep her first name, at least, when she gets married?

Great cliffhanger. (Which doesn't necessarily mean I like it! eek )

Just a note tonight, since I don't have time for legit feedback. Still reading. Still enjoying.

I must admit that I'm a bit freaked that Clark is leaving his apartment without the ability to shut his door. It's probably true to his character, but it would leave me on edge.

As Iago says in Aladdin, "Yes, oh mighty evil one!" That was a mean place to leave us. Mean enough to make me put down my beer and leave feedback. (HAH!) <vbg>

Whew! I was so afraid Lois' message was going to be gone with the mess in Clark's apartment!

This is just one big RAFO!

How did Dr. Klein make it onto that tape?
Was he *really* involved in criminal activity?
What's going to happen at Dr. Peterson's office?
Will Clark and Henderson get there in time?
Will Lois grow out her hair?

Okay, DJ. This is where Professor Sue hands you your cap and scroll and tells you to “go forth” from the University of Nfic and Evil. Because it has nothing left to teach you.

(Lengthier FDK later)

And as a preliminary bout of gloating:

SHE WAS BUGGED!!!

“Is he dead, Lois?”

“No! But I was really mad and I wanted to kick him between the legs and pull his nose off and put out his eyes with a freshly sharpened pencil and disembowel him with a dull letter opener and strangle him with his own intestines but I stopped myself just in time!”

It's about time that Jimmy interrupts when we want him to!

NO! NO, NO, NO! Don't meet her there! Stop her on the way! Of course, I'm not actually expecting that to happen. That would be silly of me.

notworthy You guys certainly know how to write a cliff hanger.

Hurry back!

OMG... no! I just opened the page and was about to read this part (which I've SO been looking forward to!) but the training that I thought started in half an hour, starts in 2 minutes. *cries*

I'll be back as soon as I can to read this!!

Hello everyone!

Maria, thank you for the fdk. Yes, there are more questions right now than there are answers, aren't there? And yes, thank goodness she left a note!

Hi Babsi!

Quote
[Whinging] Why isn't she able to remeber Clark's proposal? [Whinging]
Ummm, don't you remember? I know you commented on part 19 - so I know you've read it... Lois's memory regressed back to the night that Mayson died? She doesn't remember anything for the last 6 months.

Don't you remember...?

Oh no! Babsi! They got to you too! Don't take any more of the pretty yellow pills!!! Don't do it! <hee hee>

And while Clark is blaming himself for not being there - he really shouldn't be - remember he was in Japan, assisting with the earthquake. He couldn't really help not being there. <pats Clark>

Hee hee! Glad you enjoyed that cliffhanger... err... maybe "enjoyed" is the wrong word. <g> Thanks Babsi!

Hi Ambar! Thank you for that fdk. I'm sorry you weren't having a good day, and glad this could brighten it a little. <g> You just never know who's going to turn out being guilty. wink

Hi Lisa! Hah - I'm surprised you forgot the message. <g> Ha ha! I love that you are so willing to ask about Dr. Klein and yet so willing to answer your own question (that I'm not gonna tell you <g>) Man! I went from just being evil to being "mean" - is that a downgrade or an upgrade? goofy Thanks Lisa!

Hi Ann!

What a lovely way of writing Jimmy! [Sloppy]
Thank you. I thought Jimmy deserved his time in the sun. He deserved to shine a little. <g> Glad you enjoyed that. He really is a good kid at heart...

Quote
But... yes, you should have stayed with Lois last night, Clark. And you should have stayed with her tonight. Why didn't you? *sings: When will they ever learn? When will they e-e-ever learn?*
Oh but Ann, did you forget? Clark was over in Japan, saving all those people from the earthquake... surely you didn't expect him to let them die, just so he could spend the night with Lois --- did you? <me pats Clark - poor guy, already feels bad enough...>

Heh - you'd better get used to those cliffhangers Ann... there's going to be more of them.

What?!

We are getting close to the end, you know, would you expect any different? Thanks Ann!

Hi Elisabeth!

If it makes you feel any better, Clark jammed some furniture up against his busted door before he and Henderson went out the other door. :p

Thanks for the comments! <g>

Hi Jen!

Ooooh, it was evil enough to make you put down your beer? WOW! <g> LOVE all the questions... yes... RAFO! <g> And <snort> at Lois growing out her hair. Thanks Jen!

Hi BJ!

Quote
Don't be too hard on Clark, he only left Lois to assist with an earthquake in Japan. *Only* a life threatening situation could pull him away from her after she put on that ring. A ring that she's still wearing, BTW. [Big Grin]
Yes, thank you for pointing that out! I was afraid everyone had forgotten. <g>

Like I told Ann, sorry to be mean (well, not really) but you'd better get used to those cliffhangers as we near the end. <g> Thanks for the fdk!

Hi Hasini! Ooooh! I graduated! <looks around for cap and scroll but doesn't see them> What?! What do you mean I can't graduate until the story is completed?! <pouts>

Woo-hoo - lengthier fdk later -
<hits refresh> ...
<waits a few seconds>...
<hits refresh again>...

I guess you meant later later. <g>

Yes - you were right, you were right, she was bugged <snort> Thanks for the fdk!

Hi Symbolic!

You know, somehow I just knew everyone would appreciate that. <g>

LOL at your silliness. <g> Thanks for the fdk and glad you enjoyed the cliffhanger. laugh

Hi Doublel! Ha ha ha!

A good angst chapter? That's what you think we need.... um.... done. <wink> Just wait for it... Thanks!

Hi Lara! <me cries that Lara was stuck in a meeting that apparently lasted all day> goofy I hope you finally found some time to read it. <g> Thanks for the fdk!

Hi Jackie! Hee hee - thanks for the fdk!

Thank you everyone! See you soon!

Hi! I've been reading this and catching up for a while...sorry I haven't commented on earlier chapters. *looks guilty*

I LOVE this story so far! So full of angst with those few happy moments like Lois's dream...

Poor, poor Clark. *sniff* I bet he feels just aweful. And poor Lois! Finding out that she cut her hair every morning has got to be weird. Plus all the other stuff...

Argh! Cliffhangers! I must say I love cliffhangers, especially when I'm the one creating them (because it's slightly evil). I can't wait for the next post!! *Bambi eyes* Soon maybe?

So DJ I have to apologize to you.

First off I want you to know that I love this story. Absolutely positively adore it. I always do a little dance at my desk when I see a chapter posted.

BUT... I haven't been reviewing it like I love it. grumble I'm sorry for that.

Loved this chapter though. I'm so glad they figured out what was causing the memory loss. I'm so scared for Lois though! I hope Clark gets to her in time. But damn Henderson is with him. He either better come up with a great excuse to get away when he see's that note or just reveal the secret! Gah!!

clap So exciting thus far and I can't for the next part. laugh

I'm back! I'm back! I wanted to read it last night, but we had a few power failures and when it seemed like it was back for good, I had a lot of work to catch up on. mad

And boooooo! for training sessions that last all day. Then again, there was an amusing moment... one guy there - a new guy - who noticed the little S shield pendant around my neck turned to me and asked if I was mostly of fan of Superman in the movies or the comics. I said I liked just about everything, which is mostly true. He got this oddly excited little look on his face and asked me if I'd ever watched L&C. Obviously, he hasn't seen my office... *lol* The guy sitting next to me (my friend, the Batman fan) almost choked laughing and told the first guy that it was best not to get me started on the subject else I'd find a way to talk about it for *days*. Hehehe! wink So... I've got a new friend in the office who is not only a Mac specialist (yay!) but can quote about as much of L&C as I can. Wee!! laugh

This being said.. and as much as I'm sure my life is entertaining... let's get to some actual feedback!!

Commenting as I read...

Quote
She had been making good progress under Dr. Peterson’s care.
Agh! Clark, if only you knew!!

Quote
Clark grimaced guiltily as he remembered turning off his pager last night - when he had been talking to Lois. He had been afraid someone might call and interrupt him while he was pouring his heart out to her, so he had turned it off.
You know, I'm glad he did. Another case of Jimmy Interruptus would have been one too many. *lol*

Quote
Dan was on top of things... for once.
Huh? Dan? What's he doing there? Or is it me that's all consufed, again?

Oooh! I was so taken with the rest I couldn't stop reading until I realized I'd gotten to the end. laugh I can't wait to find out what happens next!! There's some really great A-plot in this story and I'm enjoying myself immensely reading it! (/me loves a good a-plot!!) I hope Clark catches up with Lois before it's too late! Please? Don't make her forget anymore than she already does. If she forgets Superman ever existed, I think I'd cry!! Poor Clark who's already going through hell, that could just crush him. Please don't do that...

Great part girls! laugh

Another wonderful part! Excellent!

Quote
Lois had forgotten him... them. She hadn’t just forgotten the proposal – she had forgotten everything. Everything she had managed to remember – it was all gone. Clark wanted to scream – a trip up to the Arctic sounded pretty appealing - but he didn’t. He had to find his strength... for her. He had to be there for her, help her find her way... help her to remember. There was no other choice. No other option. He had promised her last night that he would be there for her, even if her memories never came back. She may no longer remember that promise, but he did.
How sweet of him. But oh, how sad. grumble

At least she left a note. I just hope it won't be too late when Clark to get there. grovel

Sure, I remember wink Maybe "remember" was the wrong word I used for it. I was thinking of the days before where Lois accepted the ring again, she's wearing now and can't "read" her memories because her memory-book was stolen.
