Oh my god, thank you!
Life being what it is, I have very little time for fandom at all (two kids, third on the way, full time job in primary health care amidst Covid and vaccinations, Covid for myself earlier this year, and all the other stuff life throws at you), so I was stunned when a message came saying my little fic won not one but TWO awards. And then I see that I won Best New Author! I have followed this fandom for so, so long, being my very first fandom ever, and to even be nominated in the Kerths... Well, I obviously have trouble with my words. But thank you for everyone who read my story, and to everyone who voted, and to this wonderful fandom which just keeps being amazing year after year. I’ll try to find the time to be more active, because this fandom certainly deserves it.

Wow. Thank you! I am sitting here stunned -- feeling an odd mixture of elation and disbelief. I had been amazed that my "Mad Dog Lane" story had even been nominated; I had thought for sure it wouldn't win. THANK YOU! Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees, and thank you to everyone who wrote stories, as well as those who read and commented on them. An especial thanks to the Kerth Committee. Sadly, I couldn't participate becaue it was in the middle of the night here, but my congratulations to all the winners, too. The fact that there are still Kerth Award Shows that there is still a community caring about L&C and that's great.
