Hello and welcome to the Fanfic Scavenger Hunt! The rules are simple: *Whoever is "It" must post an item to find, preferably something simple like "A book" or "A dentist" (as opposed to something complicated and overly specific, like "a short scene where Clark plays the ukelele for tourists"). *Players must race to find a fic which contains that item. Please post the title, author, and a snippet containing the object. For example: Object: Ukelele Response: Fake Fic Set in Hawii by Hypothetical FoLC "Ow!" said Clark as Lois brought the ukulele down on his thick skull... *First person with a correct response gets to be "It" and chooses the next object for us all to search for. * Writing a fic for the sole purpose of "finding" the item in it is not only allowed, but heartily encouraged. Well? What do you all think? I'll kick things off: Find a fic which contains A Dog.

Oh, that's an easy one. "Chocolate Lab" by IolantheAlias Centers around a dog. Quote: Lois: “I forgot about my neighbor’s dog!” and many more if you look through the Story. OK, next one: Find a fic that contains a bullet. Go!
Up, up and away - to the next fanfic.

Bullet's easy, too *picks random TOGoM by Tank* Clark would have been killed if she hadn’t acted, but pushing him out of the way had put her in the path of Clyde’s bullets. Next one: "Waterfall" Michael

Got one! In "Masques" by LabRat, there is a waterfall in Lex's Citadel. One of the half waterfalls had cleansed her sufficiently and she had the reassurance of knowing that, with judicious use of her towel, she had been able to change into the bathing suit left for her, in the locker with her name printed on it in cold, black type, without revealing too much of herself to watching eyes. Next Up: Lois's sofa

I've just the right Story for you. Lynn S.M.'s "The Sofas". Quote: Lois looked at Mandy and pointed at the off-white sofa pair. “I’ll take these.” Okay. Next one: Double Fudge Crunch Bars.

The first one to come to mind is "Mine" by Mouserocks. Because if I ever catch you making a move on my secret stash of Double Fudge Crunch Bars again, there'll be hell to pay. Next up...um....how about Snowman?

While all of the other kids were out lobbing snowballs at one another, sledding down hills in the park, or building their very own Frosty the Snowman, I would spend the day in misery, hoping against hope that school would be open the next day. Chicken Costume. Michael

The great "Hearts Devided" by Pam Jernigan. Quote: Alone, Lois blinked at the unexpected undercurrents. Not that any of this back-stage wrangling was likely to be connected to the fires. Making her way in the Army had been difficult, but nothing like this. Never mind, she told herself. This wasn't getting her anywhere. She firmly directed her attention back to figuring out the chicken costume.
Next up: The Kent's barn.

Clark pointed the truck in the direction of his folks' farm. They parked behind the barn and crept around in the darkness so they wouldn't wake Clark's parents. On a challenge, Lois and Clark ended up sitting on a hay bale in the loft. Next one: a Chocolate Superman. (I sincerely hope it's not too difficult. And it is two things Lois loves packaged into one sweet bundle, so... this counts as a fair challenge, right?) Michael

Thick clouds of smoke rose into the sky as the Beatles Theater burned to the ground. Firetrucks surrounded it from all angles... Next item: A Compass. Edit: Nothing? Alright then, how about A Map?

She still felt gravity, just as she’d felt the jab when she stabbed herself with her compass. Ficticious Persons by DebbieG (also has a map!) Next up: Revenge

Michael I could swear that I read a Story awhile ago in which Lois, angrily/frustrated about a certain superhero, bites the head of a chocolate Superman but for my life I can't remember anything else about that particular story yet.

That's easy. "Deserving to Love" by me (bakasi) My damp sweater offers little protection against the chilly air. Shivering, I try to balance a pizza box and a stock of videos with one hand, while I raise the other to knock. Okay, next one... kryptonite bullet
It's never too dark to be cool.

Ah, that's easy, too. An Undexpected Visitor, by Morgana: ""The bullet must be made of …Kryptonite. It's gotta come out …we … we … have to trust Dr. Klein to do it ….here.”" Okay. The next one is: a spaceship.

What a fun game. And an excellent way to get back to the boards. (RL has kept me busy this past half-year or so.) The next one is: a spaceship. Writing a fic for the sole purpose of "finding" the item in it is not only allowed, but heartily encouraged. I assume that this new rule implies that one is also allowed to cite one's own, previous work. If so, here's my reply. It was the first story to come into my mind. It's from my story, The Discovery: It looked like some sort of a spaceship, but one too small to hold an astronaut. Next item: A journalist's notepad.

No takers? Was the notepad too hard? One solution: From Folc4evernaday's "Three Rules" Teaser, “Yeah,” she nodded, stepping away and grabbing her notepad from the table where they’d been working. How about an alternate search term -- something more seasonal (at least, for those of us in the U.S.): A Thanksgiving dinner. Be well, Lynn

From Happy Girl's, "The Man Under the Suit" Did he want her to know? Was he hoping she’d put the pieces together? She turned on the faucet and dabbed the water onto her pants with her napkin, mostly to give her something to do while her mind spun in circles. Maybe part of him did want her to know. But he’d avoided her at the bookstore. Next up: A lab coat
