NaNoWriMo starts on Friday! Whose in?

If you'd like to be my buddy on nanowrimo.org, I'm JGastler.

NaNoWriMo is how I got started writing and I love it. I most definitely didn't finish Unforgettable in the month, but much of the writing happened in NaNoWriMo 2018 and it never would have happened if I hadn't come across the challenge in the first place. And I can't wait to do it again!

Like Camp NaNoWriMo, this is a writing challenge to be completed in one month. Unlike Camp, you don't pick your goal, the goal is 50,000 words (that's 1667 words per day). The NaNoWriMo website is way more interactive though, with badges and trackers and forums. Its fun and difficult and exciting and everyone should join if you can.

Thought about joining Nano this year, ultimately chickened out. BUT! I did find a nifty app called Novelist on the GoogleStore that might be useful to any participants. It basically helps you organize and cross-reference the components of your novel (characters, locations, etc.) so you have a handy reference while writing. It's free, so worth checking out.

shocked This app looks amazing! I'm in need of a better way to keep track of things. Hopefully, its as easy to use as the pictures make it seem. Should also be a way better way to keep track of ideas that pop into my head when I'm not on my laptop. Thanks Q!
