Here is Chapter 13. Most of the entirety of Part 3 of this story was written while I listened to my favorite pianist practice a song. You can listen to it here. (She's an amazing pianist but the video is very long. I wont be offended if you don't listen.) It is likely to answer at least a few questions you may have regarding Lois and Clark and their current circumstances and features our first glimpse after the fact from Lex. I also fully expect you to tell me just how much more evil you think Lex is after this chapter. And rest assured, I am fully aware of just how right you are. ( Sorry again about that...)

this is one of those times where we could have fun saying things like "She doesn't know that he knows she knows." She's certainly aware of how horrible he is at least.

Poor Clark just can't get a break!

Lois's memories are dribbling in. Too bad she didn't find a better hiding place. Lex just can't help himself, can he? The ultimate control freak.

Love how Jimmy has become an investigative reporter and is really shining. Yay, Jimmy!

He is a monster!

Me too! So I am pretty sure I only glossed over it in the story (um... Chapter 1, I think, Perry talks about how Jimmy stepped up when Clark failed), but I think its a little ironic: Surely, Lex thought that by giving Jimmy credit for many of the stories that Clark had done, he would be setting Jimmy up to fail. I mean, how is a photographer with little experience supposed to take the place of an ace reporter? Poor Lex , someone's on to him! I was always sure Jimmy had it in him and only needed the chance. I was happy to give it to him here.

I glossed over that, too. I saw Perry's comment, but it didn't occur to me that Lex had done that.

Lex wishes he had killed Clark? Yeah, that’s the real one....

Yes, this isn't too unlike what he did in the frog series, except rather than replacing Lois, he replaced everything else. Same evil Lex though.
